Karumi Automates Software Demos with AI Agents

By Zero G Talent•

Karumi builds interactive AI agents that join live video calls with sales prospects to deliver personalized B2B software demonstrations. Founded in 2025 and backed by Y Combinator's F25 batch, Rebel Fund, and Acacia Venture Capital Partners, the San Francisco-headquartered company integrates voice AI, browser automation, and large language models to let SaaS vendors showcase products around the clock in any language.

Instead of relying on static video recordings or forcing prospects to wait for open sales slots, Karumi's agents interact naturally during video calls while navigating actual software applications in real time inside a browser.

Product Expertise Built by Stack AI Alumni

Karumi was co-founded by Chief Executive Officer Pablo Omeñaca and Chief Technology Officer Toni Lopez. Pablo Omeñaca previously served as founding engineer and COO at Stack AI (YC W23), a workflow orchestrator acquired by Asana, following roles in data science consulting at BCG Gamma and an MBA at MIT. Toni Lopez also worked at Stack AI and IBM Research prior to founding Karumi.

Speaking on the Nova_Global video series, Pablo Omeñaca explained that the idea grew directly out of their experience at Stack AI, where technical founders were repeatedly pulled into GTM meetings to explain fast-moving features. "We see Karumi as an AI product expert that understands your software or your platform very well and is able to communicate it to customers," Omeñaca said. He noted that the team operates from headquarters in New York alongside an engineering presence in Madrid and San Francisco.

Regarding competition and defensibility in application-layer AI, Omeñaca emphasized that generic frontier models cannot handle complex demo workflows out of the box. "The last mile in the application layer is where all the value lies," he stated, noting that success requires specialized system orchestration to maintain low latency and eliminate hallucinations during real-time screen sharing and voice interaction.

Engineering the Infrastructure for Browser Agents

Karumi's technical architecture spans voice pipelines, browser control, and full-stack product interfaces. To expand its platform capabilities, the company is recruiting across engineering disciplines in New York, San Francisco, and Madrid.

Engineers joining the team work on real-time execution, low-latency pipelines, and system reliability:

  • The AI/ML Harness Engineer role in New York or Madrid focuses on core platform intelligence, constructing voice AI systems, browser agents, real-time evaluation frameworks, and latency-optimized pipelines so agents interact naturally during calls.
  • The Product Engineer (Full-Stack) role in New York or Madrid develops user-facing interfaces and backend infrastructure using React and FastAPI backends to rapidly iterate on customer feedback.
  • The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) role in New York or San Francisco handles end-to-end customer deployments, configuring and operating demo agents in live customer environments, performing QA, and scripting custom implementation tools.

Scaling Go-to-Market Operations in New York

To turn inbound prospect interest into enterprise pipeline, Karumi is actively expanding its commercial operations out of its New York office.

The company is establishing its founding sales, marketing, and customer success functions:

  • The Account Executive owns the complete sales cycle for Karumi's AI agent, handling prospecting, qualification, and deal closing while working directly with the founders to establish the company's sales playbook.
  • The Growth lead builds demand-generation channels across content, paid acquisition, and lifecycle loops, leveraging Karumi's own demo agent as a top-of-funnel conversion tool.
  • The Marketing role shapes Karumi's brand narrative, positioning agentic sales tools to prospective buyers and driving qualified inbound pipeline.
  • The Customer Success manager manages post-sale customer onboarding, monitors AI agent performance across client environments, and feeds product insights back to engineering.
