Glimpse Raises $35M Series A to Automate Retail Operations

By Zero G Talent•

Glimpse raised $35 million in a Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz, with continued participation from 8VC and Y Combinator, bringing its total capital raised to $52 million (TechCrunch). The New York-based company develops an AI platform that automates back-office financial workflows for consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands and retailers, focusing on deduction management, revenue recovery, and cash application.

In retail supply chains, brands frequently experience deductions from invoice payments when retailers cite damaged goods, pricing errors, short shipments, or promotional compliance fees. Many of these deductions are inaccurate, but challenging them manually requires finance teams to gather records across siloed retailer portals, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and shipping documentation. Glimpse deploys AI agents that retrieve deduction data from dozens of portals, validate charges against internal ERPs and supply chain logs, and file disputes to recover lost revenue.

According to Pulse 2.0, more than $100 billion is spent annually across the retail industry on back-office labor. Glimpse reports a 91% dispute win rate while removing up to 80% of manual labor hours for brand finance teams. In one instance, the platform reviewed 17,000 deductions for a $1 billion CPG client in under 24 hours—work that would take a full-time employee roughly two years—identifying more than $10 million in revenue. The company supports over 200 brands and retail partners, including Suave, Chapstick, Lemon Perfect, IQBAR, Brami, and Evermark.

Glimpse was founded in 2020 by Chief Executive Officer Akash Raju, Chief Technology Officer Kushal Negi, and Chief Product Officer Anuj Mehta. The co-founders met as students at Purdue University. The company originally launched a product placement service for short-term rentals before pivoting to back-office retail finance automation after identifying financial deductions as a primary operational bottleneck for consumer brands (Ventureburn).

The Series A funding follows a 14x year-over-year revenue growth period for the company, which currently has 27 employees working in person at its New York headquarters. To scale its platform architecture and expand customer ERP integrations, Glimpse is recruiting technical talent for its engineering organization. Open positions include a Founding Forward Deployment Engineer offering $195,000 to $250,000, a Senior Software Engineer at $195,000 to $250,000, and a Software Engineer at $150,000 to $200,000.

Glimpse is also expanding its business operations team to support customer deployment and platform delivery across major retail networks like Target, KeHE, and UNFI (Food Industry Executive). The operations team is hiring a Head of Business Operations with a salary range of $210,000 to $230,000, a Product Operations Manager at $115,000 to $150,000, and an IT Operations Engineer offering $135,000 to $175,000.
