Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and how to make us stop.

Who we are
Zero G Talent (zerogtalent.com) is a job board for the frontier tech industry — space, defense, AI and robotics. It is run by an individual operator, not a company. For anything in this policy, write to [email protected].
Our servers are in the United States (Oregon). If you are outside the United States, using the site means your information is processed there.
What we collect
You can browse every job, company and salary page without an account and without telling us anything. Data is collected only when a feature needs it:
- Job alerts. Your email address and the search filters you chose, so we can send matching roles.
- Accounts. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We never see your Google password.
- Resume scanner. See the dedicated section below — it deserves its own explanation.
- The chat assistant. Whatever you type into the chat window on the home page is sent to Google's Gemini API to produce a reply. Please do not paste anything into it you would not want a third party to process.
- Posting a job. Your company details, contact email and logo, plus billing information handled by Stripe.
- Salary submissions. The compensation figures you submit. These are published only in aggregate, never attributed to you.
- Automatically. Your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in server and error logs.
The resume scanner, specifically
This is the part people most want a straight answer about, so here it is:
- Your resume file is converted to images in your browser and sent to OpenRouter, a third-party AI provider, which runs the model that analyses it. Its contents leave our servers to be read by that provider.
- We do not keep the file or its text. Neither is written to our database.
- We do keep the analysis it produces — scores, which sections were detected, and the written strengths and suggestions — linked to your browser session or your account, so your results are still there when you come back.
If you would rather we did not keep that analysis, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
Profiles of people who never signed up
The People section contains profiles — names, job titles, employers, short biographies and photos — of people in the frontier tech industry. These were not collected from the people themselves. They are derived from Crunchbase and other publicly available business sources.
We publish them on the basis of legitimate interest: making it possible to see who works in this industry and where. We think that is a fair use of professional information that is already public. You may disagree, and if you do, that decision is yours to enforce, not ours:
Email [email protected] with the link to your profile and we will remove it. You do not have to explain why, and you do not have to prove who you are beyond enough to identify the right profile. We aim to action removals within 30 days.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the providers that make the site work:
| Provider | What they do | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payments for job posts and Pro subscriptions | Billing name, email, card details (entered on Stripe, never on our servers) |
| Sign-in, analytics, advertising, and the Gemini model behind the chat assistant | Google account profile on sign-in; pseudonymous usage and advertising identifiers; whatever you type into the chat assistant | |
| OpenRouter | Runs the AI models behind the resume scanner and generated articles | The contents of a resume you submit for analysis |
| Resend | Sending job-alert digests and transactional email | Email address |
| Cloudflare | Content delivery, DDoS protection and DNS | IP address and request metadata |
| OVHcloud | Server hosting | Everything stored by the service, held in Oregon, United States |
We may also disclose information where the law requires it. When you click an Apply button you leave this site for the employer's own application system, which has its own privacy policy — we have no control over what they collect.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your session for the resume scanner. Google Analytics tells us which pages get visited, and Google AdSense serves advertising on article pages; both set their own cookies and may use them to build an advertising profile. You can block cookies in your browser — sign-in is the only feature that stops working without them.
How long we keep things
- Alert subscriptions — until you unsubscribe.
- Accounts and resume analyses — until you ask us to delete them.
- Payment records — as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Server and error logs — routinely cleared; error records are pruned after seven days.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it at all. If you are in the EEA or UK, those rights come from the GDPR; if you are in California, from the CCPA. We do not sell personal information under either regime.
One address handles all of it: [email protected]. We will not charge you, and we will not make you create an account to ask.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, payment card details are entered directly with Stripe and never touch our servers, and access to the database is restricted to the operator. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — if a breach affects you, we will tell you.
Children
This site is for working professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
