Sergio Gallucci

Sergio Gallucci was a Co-founder of SCOUT Space Inc., which is de-risking spaceflight with perception and autonomy for safe navigation within the orbital environment. He has done R&D within propulsion, autonomy, remote sensing, and the space environment, and served as a technical advisor for deep tech start-ups in sensors and machine learning. Sergio has been recognized by Forbes as one of the ‘30 Under 30’ in Science 2024 and one of the ‘Next 1000’ “Upstart Entrepreneurs who are Redefining the American Dream”. Sergio was previously at QorTek as the technical lead for space programs, at General Dynamics Mission Systems SATCOM as an electrical engineer, and worked as a consultant supporting RF systems ruggedization and development. Sergio was a Systems Engineer at Deep Space Industries (since acquired by Bradford Space) working on asteroid mining precursor tech demos with small satellites. He conducted graduate work as at Penn State as an NSF Fellow, and holds a BS (Honors) in Aeronautical Engineering from Clarkson University. Sergio is a naturalized US Citizen who immigrated to the US from Brazil.
