Brian H. Barber

Dr. Brian H. Barber, Ph.D serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of Mojave Therapeutics Inc. Dr. Barber serves as Assistant Vice President, Immunology of Sanofi Pasteur SA. He served as the Vice President at Mojave Therapeutics Inc. from 2002 to 2003. Dr. Barber served as the Vice President of Global Ventures for the UHN Development Corporation since he joined in 2004. Dr. Barber has expertise knowledge in Immunology field and more than 25 years of research experience. Dr. Barber served as the Assistant Vice President for Immunology at Aventis Pasteur from 1998 to 2002. Dr. Barber serves as Chairman of DLVR Therapeutics Inc. Dr. Barber’s research has been focused on the processing and presentation of Class I MHC epitopes, the development of adjuvant-independent immuno targeting approaches to HIV-1 vaccine design, and the investigation of DNA immunization strategies for the induction of T-cell mediated effector functions. Dr. Barber served as director of Inimex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Member of Scientific Advisory Board at Trillium Therapeutics Inc. Dr. Barber serves as Director of consolidated University Health Network business development activities since 2006. He serves as Member of Scientific and Medical Advisory Board at Mojave Therapeutics Inc. since May 2002. He is a Member of Life Sciences Advisory Board of VenGrowth Asset Management Inc. He served as member of the Advisory Boards of Vengrowth Life Sciences Fund. He served as member of the Advisory Board of the Institute for Biological Sciences at the National Research Council of Canada. Earlier, he had spent 20 years as a Professor in the Department of Immunology, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, with cross-appointments to the University of Toronto's Institute of Medical Sciences and The Toronto Hospital's Division of Infectious Diseases. Dr. Barber has received numerous awards, including 25 years of continuous research funding from the Medical Research Council of Canada. He holds a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto and completed Post Doctoral studies at the Imperial Cancer Research fund and the National Institute for Medical Research in London, England. Dr. Barber received an Undergraduate degree at the University of Manitoba.
