Forge the Future: Join Voyager Technologies

The future belongs to those who build it. At Voyager Technologies, we’re building technologies that protect lives, expand frontiers and prepare us for what’s next. And we’re doing that with people who are wired to solve, build, adapt and lead. These roles are not for the faint of heart.

You’ll help lay the foundation for humanity's future. Join a culture where innovation thrives, curiosity is rewarded, and impact is real. We’re a company of doers, thinkers and builders, united by purpose and grounded in reality.

If you want to put your skills to work where the stakes are real and the mission is bigger than any one person, forge the future with Voyager.

The Manager leads a team of high-output AI empowered developers that owns Voyager-built manufacturing applications for their full life: roadmap, enhancement, release, operation, security, and user support. The manager is accountable for delivering a steady stream of working improvements to manufacturing and engineering users, keeping both applications reliable and secure in Azure GCC High, and growing a team that can sustain them without blockers.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. The manager sets priorities with business owners, shapes architecture and engineering standards, reviews and approves changes, and steps into design, code review, and incident response as needed — while hiring, coaching, and managing the team.

Key responsibilities

Team leadership

  • Build and run the team. Hire, onboard, coach, and evaluate developers; set clear ownership for each application and component; maintain a healthy workload and a sustainable on-call rotation.
  • Remove single points of failure. Ensure design decisions, runbooks, and operational knowledge are documented and shared, so that any capable team member can ship, deploy, and recover either application.
  • Set the developer culture. Establish and enforce expectations for code review, testing, documentation, and honest reporting of what has and has not been verified.

Roadmap and stakeholder management

  • Own the roadmap for both applications. Work with manufacturing, engineering, quality, program management, and finance leaders to gather needs, resolve conflicting priorities, and publish a clear, sequenced backlog.
  • Balance enhancement against run work. Allocate capacity across new features, defect repair, technical debt, security fixes, and operational toil for two products with different user bases and risk profiles.
  • Run pilots and adoption. Plan and manage pilot programs and rollouts, user training, release communications, and feedback loops, including Vector's move from pilot to a production environment with real program data.
  • Set expectations. Give executives and business owners accurate status, risks, and trade-offs; give advance notice of user-interface and workflow changes.

Delivery and engineering quality

  • Run a predictable delivery process. Plan work in small, reviewable increments with automated tests, continuous integration, protected branches, and an approval-gated release path.
  • Govern architecture. Keep each application's data model, interfaces, and configuration approach coherent as new sites, lines of business, and integrations are added; approve significant design decisions and record them.
  • Govern AI-assisted development. Both applications are built with heavy use of AI coding assistants. Define how AI-generated changes are specified, reviewed by a human, independently cross-checked where warranted, and tested before release, and keep accountability with named people.

Operations, reliability, and cost

  • Own service health. Maintain monitoring, alerting, backup and restore testing, and disaster-recovery readiness (including failover drills); lead incident response and post-incident reviews.
  • Manage the platform. Oversee infrastructure as code, deployment pipelines and self-hosted runners, certificate and secret rotation, dependency updates, and cloud cost in Azure Government.
  • Support users. Operate an intake and triage process for questions and defects, with targets for response and resolution.

Security, compliance, and data governance

  • Protect controlled data. Ensure both applications handle export-controlled and other sensitive data in line with company policy, Cybersecurity requirements, and customer obligations; maintain least-privilege access, audit trails, and role-based access tied to Okta groups.
  • Close findings. Work with Cybersecurity, IT Infrastructure, and Quality to remediate security and audit findings, and to document the evidence that gates a move to production use.
  • Control integrations. Own the secure operation of integrations with NetSuite, Okta, and other systems, including credential custody and read/write scope decisions.
