Triomics Raises $22M Series B to Scale Oncology AI Platform

By Zero G Talent•

Triomics has raised $22 million in Series B financing led by Battery Ventures to expand its generative AI platform across cancer centers and life sciences organizations. Returning investors Nexus Venture Partners, Lightspeed, and Y Combinator joined the round alongside strategic backers Oncology Ventures and Precision Health Informatics, bringing the company's total funding to more than $36 million. The capital arrives after a year in which the startup expanded its enterprise customer base fourfold and grew annualized recurring revenue tenfold, according to TechCrunch.

Founded in 2021, Triomics builds software that parses complex, unstructured electronic health records (EHRs) for oncology care. Modern cancer patient charts routinely stretch across hundreds of pages of narrative clinic notes, pathology reports, radiology imaging, and genetic biomarker panels. Triomics uses specialized large language models to turn that unstructured record into structured, source-backed intelligence directly inside clinical workflows.

Automating Chart Review and Trial Matching

The company's core platform engine, OncoLLM™, underpins applications like Prism, a patient-to-trial matching system. In a video presentation for the Cancer Advocacy Group of Louisiana (CAGLA), Sebastien Rhodes, VP of Strategy & Operations at Triomics, described OncoLLM as "a constellation of models and a really robust pipeline of coordinated efforts to accurately, efficiently, cost-effectively extract key data elements from all of the different disparate data sources." Instead of relying on manual chart scraping by research staff, Prism continuously screens scheduled patients against trial eligibility protocols in real time, citing exact medical record locations for every recommendation.

Peer-reviewed research published in Nature Digital Medicine and presented at ASCO demonstrated that Triomics users reduced manual chart review times by 67%, while increasing trial matches by 40% and trial enrollments by over 30%. The software is currently deployed across major academic medical centers and health systems, including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), MD Anderson, Yale Cancer Center, Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Center, and Texas Oncology. Beyond trial screening, health systems such as Yale New Haven Health are adopting Triomics to automate mandatory state and federal cancer registry chart abstraction.

"Oncology faces an information burden at a scale legacy systems were never designed to handle, and that burden can stand in the way of better outcomes," said Sarim Khan, Co-Founder and CEO of Triomics, in Healthcare IT Today. "We built Triomics to turn that complexity into usable intelligence inside the workflow, purpose-built for oncology."

Leadership Team

Triomics was co-founded by Sarim Khan, Hrituraj Singh, and Sajjan Rajpurohit.

  • Sarim Khan (Co-Founder & CEO) is a chemical engineer with research experience in tissue engineering and neuroscience. He was motivated to start the company by the lack of vertical integration in the clinical trial ecosystem.
  • Hrituraj Singh (Co-Founder & CTO) was previously a Researcher at Adobe Research focusing on language models and reinforcement learning before applying those techniques to oncology records.
  • Sajjan Rajpurohit (Co-Founder) is the Director of Medical Oncology at BLK - Max Super Speciality Hospital and attended Maulana Azad Medical College.

"Oncology is the hardest place to build AI, yet the most important," Hrituraj Singh told MedTech World. "Getting a model to reason reliably across thousands of pages of notes, pathology, imaging, and evolving trial criteria, and show its work, is what separates a demo from software that clinicians actually use."

Hiring Technical and Field Teams in New York

Following its Series B round, Triomics is expanding its engineering, deployment, and GTM teams, with several open positions centered around its New York location.

On the machine learning and infrastructure side, the company is hiring a Forward Deployed ML Engineer ($170,000 – $190,000 USD) in New York, NY, US to build and deploy AI agent pipelines that extract structured oncology variables from patient documents exceeding 500 pages. To support cloud infrastructure and deployments, Triomics is recruiting a Site Reliability Engineer ($150,000 – $200,000 USD) in New York, NY, US to manage multi-tenant environments, CI/CD, and collaborate with an offshore engineering team. Additionally, the company is seeking a Technical Support Engineer ($125,000 – $150,000 USD) in New York, NY, US to investigate data ingestion failures, document processing pipeline errors, and AI extraction accuracy issues.

To drive clinical adoption and customer growth, Triomics is recruiting across account management and clinical operations. It is seeking a senior Account Manager in New York Office / Remote (US) to act as the primary contact for physicians, nurses, and clinical research coordinators. The company is also hiring a mid-level Account Manager ($100,000 – $140,000 USD) in New York, NY, US / Remote (US) to manage enterprise relationships with cancer centers from integration planning through deployment. For training end users, the team is hiring an Oncology Clinical Navigator ($80,000 – $130,000 USD) in New York, NY, US / Remote (US). To scale internal hiring across customer success, AI research, and engineering, Triomics is recruiting an in-office Senior Talent Recruiter ($110,000 – $140,000 USD) in New York, NY, US.
