Clutch Powers Credit Union Automation as Platform Adoption Accelerates

By Zero G Talent•

Clutch builds omnichannel digital onboarding and AI-driven lending software designed exclusively for credit unions. Founded in 2020 and headquartered in San Francisco, the Series B fintech company works with over 200 credit unions across the United States, including six of the top ten largest institutions by membership. According to PR Newswire, Clutch tripled its revenue over an 18-month span and reached a 153% net revenue retention rate. To expand its platform architecture, the team is hiring a Staff Product Manager, AI Agents ($196,000 – $240,000).

The company's core technology modernizes financial workflows that historically relied on manual back-office processing. In July 2026, Clutch released its Lending Automation System (LAS), an end-to-end platform designed to handle loan origination and deposit account openings across online, mobile, branch, call center, and dealership channels. As reported by ATM Marketplace, the platform pairs digital account opening with Fastlane, an AI decisioning engine that achieves 70% to 85% automated decisioning across underwriting and fraud evaluation. Clutch also launched automated protection selection features in partnership with TruStage, enabling applicants to view and elect payment protection coverage directly inside the loan application workflow, according to FinTech Global.

Clutch was founded by CEO Nicholas Hinrichsen, Chief Product Officer Christopher Coleman, Eric Florenzano, and Eric Maguire. Hinrichsen completed his MBA at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and previously co-founded used-car marketplace Carlypso alongside Coleman, an MIT mechanical engineering graduate who also co-founded Memfault. Before starting Clutch, Maguire designed digital products at Twitter and Yelp, while Florenzano contributed engineering background to the founding group. In January 2025, Clutch secured a $65 million Series B funding round led by Alkeon Capital with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, TruStage Ventures, and Peterson Partners, following a ranking at No. 58 on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list, per PR Newswire.

To support system deployments, Clutch is expanding across engineering, operations, and field roles. On the technical delivery side, open positions include a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer ($176,000 – $210,000) and a Senior Sales Engineer ($150,000 – $177,500) in the United States, along with remote engineering roles in Brazil. Operational leadership hiring includes a Senior Manager, Business Operations ($152,000 – $180,000) and a Director of Professional Services ($180,000 – $210,000).
