Bluejay, a San Francisco startup building quality assurance and stress-testing infrastructure for conversational AI agents, raised $4 million in seed funding led by Floodgate. The round included participation from Y Combinator, Peak XV Partners, Homebrew, ZAKA VC, and executives from Hippocratic AI, Deepgram, and PathAI. Founded in 2025 by former Big Tech engineers who left Amazon and Microsoft at age 23, the Y Combinator P25 alumnus grew to over $100,000 in ARR within a month of launching and currently serves customers ranging from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises.
Automated Testing for Conversational Agents
Instead of relying on manual testing, Bluejay provides an automated platform to evaluate voice and text AI agents before deployment. The platform creates synthetic users that simulate real-world conditions, testing agents against different accents, languages, background noise, interruptions, and emotional tones. As reported by Yahoo Finance, the software compresses a month of customer interactions into minutes.
In addition to pre-deployment testing, Bluejay offers an observability feature called Skywatch, which monitors voice agents running in live production environments. The company positions itself as an independent evaluator providing impartial benchmarks for businesses, regulators, and end users.
Founded by Ex-AWS and Microsoft Engineers
Bluejay was founded by CEO Rohan Vasishth and CTO Faraz Siddiqi. Vasishth previously worked on AWS Bedrock after earning a degree in computer science and economics from the University of Chicago. Siddiqi previously worked on Microsoft Copilot after completing a master's degree in computer science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Both founders left their corporate roles to build Bluejay in a San Francisco hacker house. "I don't need to stay here for six years to learn about it," Vasishth told Business Insider regarding AI development. "In fact, I will learn about it probably faster by just doing it."
Expanding Engineering and Commercial Teams
With a team of three employees, Bluejay is expanding its technical, commercial, and operational functions in San Francisco. On the technical side, the startup is hiring a Senior Member of Technical Staff ($225,000 to $300,000), a Member of Technical Staff ($160,000 to $220,000), and a Software Engineer Intern ($6,000 to $10,500 per month).
To accelerate customer adoption, Bluejay is building its go-to-market organization with hires for a Founding Account Executive ($100,000 to $300,000), a Growth & Marketing Lead ($100,000 to $200,000), a GTM Engineer ($90,000 to $160,000), and a Founding SDR ($60,000 to $120,000).
