We are looking for an electronics technician to join our team. The goal of an electronics technician at Wisk is to ensure that flight hardware is built to a high standard. You will be part of the Production team that builds the hardware required for the Gen 6 aircraft.
As part of the Production System organization, and deployed in the propulsion team you will act as an electronics technician for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View office.
Responsibilities
You will support the propulsion system build and the integration of electrical and avionics subsystems.
You will help support problem solving activities related to hardware non-conformances, including failure analysis and root cause identification.
You will take part in daily production meetings, collaborating with engineering and quality teams to optimize assembly workflows.
In some areas, you will be working closely with engineers to troubleshoot and repair complex prototype wiring harnesses and power distribution assemblies.
As an Electronics Technician, you will help define and improve assembly procedures, ensuring documentation is accurate and compliant with quality standards.
Requirements
Strong PCB soldering, cable assembly, and mechanical assembly skills
Strong rework experience in micro-soldering and desoldering small SMT component packages such as QFP, QFN, small SMT Resistors and Capacitors such as 0603, 0402 etc.
Three or more years experience as a technician assembling electromechanical mechanisms and/or power electronic assemblies
Must be able to work from procedures and drawings with minimal guidance
Understanding and use of basic electronics tools (Oscilloscope, DMM, crimpers, basic shop equipment, etc)
Strong background in troubleshooting and repair of wiring and systems
Able to select and manage parts from a BOM, assemble boards and test
Good communication, problem solving and organizational skills
Working knowledge of basic computer applications
Team player willing to help out in other areas as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay range the company expects to pay: $27 - $34 per hour - The starting base rate within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
