Founding Engineer
Job Description
Sales teams at construction supply distributors still spend huge parts of their day buried in email, spreadsheets, and legacy ERP systems. Ventura automates the repetitive low-value work so reps can focus on selling. Today, Ventura handles quoting and order entry. Over time, most operational work in this industry will be automated.
We’re looking for a founding engineer to join us full time in person in SF.
Swen previously bootstrapped and sold a company in this space in Switzerland.

Ideal candidate:
- Full stack experience: NextJS, TypeScript, Python, Google Cloud
- Understands how to build production-ready agents: context engineering, tool design, evals, …
- Communicates directly with customers to understand their needs
- Ships fast without lowering the quality bar
- Stays on the bleeding edge of AI tools to increase leverage
