Industrial Process Engineer – Supply Chain – Electrical

Location: Glasgow (with regular supplier travel)

At Thales, we work together to build technology that helps make the world safer, more secure and more sustainable. We are looking for an experienced Industrial Process Engineer to join our team and play a key role in developing and improving supplier manufacturing processes across PCB and electrical cable harness production.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with suppliers, engineering teams, procurement and quality specialists to ensure high standards of quality, reliability and process excellence throughout our supply chain.

What you'll be doing

  • Partnering with PCB and cable manufacturing suppliers to optimise production processes and quality performance.
  • Conducting supplier audits, process assessments and First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Driving continuous improvement through process data analysis and corrective actions.
  • Supporting new product introductions and supplier readiness activities.
  • Leading APQP activities and managing PPAP submissions to ensure robust manufacturing processes.
  • Building strong supplier relationships and providing clear reporting on performance, risks and improvement plans.

About you

  • Experience working within electronics, PCB, cable harness, or wider manufacturing environments.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards and supplier development.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to travel to supplier sites as required.
