Your Role: Field Service Team Lead
An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Field Service Team Lead to join the Scylla Maintenance Team, working on the Collins Class Submarines. The Field Service Team Lead performs the role of maintenance activity lead for all maintenance and repair operations at Customer site(s) and RAN Platforms (Submarines and Land-Based Environments) ensuring that the supported equipment runs smoothly and reliably.
This is a permanent opportunity based out of Rockingham, WA.

Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of maintenance activities on Collins Class Submarines ensuring all nominated work is delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved schedules, quality standards, technical documentation requirements, and regulatory compliance obligations.
- Ensure all tasks are conducted in a safe and efficient manner by adhering to safety mandates in place (Take5s, JSEAs, SOPs, etc.), ensuring all pre-requisite and follow up actions are completed. Incidents or concerns are to be raised immediately to the Maintenance Management team. Coupled to this is the adherence to the military protocols and procedures of the Royal Australian Navy vessels, bases and personnel.
- Act as the first escalation point for technical or operational issues in the field raised by the team or enterprise stakeholders.
- Review and provide feedback on maintenance task documentation, identifying gaps, inaccuracies, and opportunities for improvement to support effective future planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance activities.
- Prioritise the development of Field Service Team capability through on-the-job training (OJT), coaching, and mentoring, fostering knowledge transfer and increasing workforce competency in task execution, field operations, and maintenance best practices.
- Communicate and interface effectively with enterprise stakeholders and Maintenance Management to ensure maintenance activities progress in accordance with schedule, while accurately and efficiently reporting task status, emerging issues, risks, and defects to support informed decision-making and operational outcomes.
Your Skills:
- Electronic/Electrical Engineering Diploma or Information Technology (networking) Diploma or Electronic/Electrical trade with relevant experience.
- Supervision/Leadership of maintenance activities in local and remote locations
- Good people skills and a proven ability to communicate in a positive manner with internal and external customers
- Equivalent extensive training, including specialist equipment training, in the repair and maintenance of electronic/electrical/electro-mechanical equipment and systems with a minimum 4 years' experience in fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of sensors
- Familiar with Quality Assurance and compliance requirements.
- Experience with WHS systems knowledge
- Advanced technical writing computer skills, particularly MS Office

Prior to being offered employment, you will need to complete pre-employment police and (role dependent) medical checks. Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain NV1 security clearance.
