About the Role
As a Structural Analysis Engineer I (Stress Analysis) at Sierra Space, you will embark on your engineering career by contributing to the design, analysis, and solution development for structural systems. This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge under the guidance of senior engineers. You will Focus on ensuring structural integrity of aerospace structures by evaluating stresses, loads, and deformations, adhering to aerospace standards, and collaborating with design engineers to optimize components.In this role, you will assist in the design and analysis of structural systems, applying a basic understanding of structural analysis methods and tools to ensure the integrity of structures. You will follow instructions from senior engineers to develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity while utilizing and applying basic technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts in your work. Collaborating with team members, you will contribute to achieving project goals and ensuring successful outcomes. Additionally, you will clearly and effectively communicate and document technical concepts, supporting team alignment and decision-making. You will actively participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on project progress and problem-solving, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
- Typically entry-level position: 0 - 2 years of experience.
- Basic understanding of Structural Analysis.
- Experience using and applying technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts.
- Ability to help develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from senior engineers.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using engineering software tools relevant to structural analysis and design.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices within the field of structural engineering.
- Demonstrated interest in aerospace technologies and structural system design.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic engineering environment.
- Familiarity with Finite Element Methods.
Compensation:
Pay Range:
$77,234.00 - $106,196.75Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
