We are looking to add a Senior Test Technician to our team. In this role you will provide advanced technical support for the setup, execution, troubleshooting, and documentation of laboratory, qualification, environmental, and production testing for complex hardware and integrated systems. This role contributes to successful product development by independently executing complex test activities, supporting engineering investigations, and serving as a technical resource for laboratory and test operations.

Working cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, RF, software, manufacturing, quality, and engineering support, the Senior Test Technician supports functional testing, system integration, environmental testing, qualification activities, and production acceptance.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Configure and execute functional, integration, environmental, qualification, and acceptance testing using approved procedures, test equipment, and engineering documentation.
  • Prepare flight hardware, qualification units, engineering development units (EDUs), fixtures, cables, and instrumentation for system-level verification activities.
  • Verify hardware configurations, software loads, instrumentation connections, and test setups before test execution.
  • Troubleshoot complex test equipment, fixtures, cable assemblies, connectors, instrumentation, and hardware discrepancies using established diagnostic methods.
  • Operate oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, digital multimeters, data acquisition systems, and environmental test equipment supporting engineering investigations.
  • Verify calibration status, operational readiness, and configuration control of laboratory equipment and test assets.
  • Partner with electrical, mechanical, RF, software, manufacturing, quality, and engineering support personnel to resolve technical issues supporting verification and production testing.
  • Document test results, discrepancies, nonconformances, hardware configurations, and engineering observations supporting configuration-controlled products.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior technicians while maintaining laboratory readiness, tooling, fixtures, and engineering hardware.
  • Maintain laboratory records, calibration logs, equipment maintenance records, and test documentation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Apply configuration management, ESD controls, FOD prevention, laboratory safety requirements, and AS9100 quality standards throughout testing activities.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to laboratory workflows, test processes, equipment utilization, and test repeatability.
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree, technical certification, formal occupational training, military training, or equivalent hands-on experience in engineering technology, electronics, manufacturing technology, or a related technical discipline required. 5–7 years of related experience in engineering support, manufacturing, laboratory testing, systems integration, or technical operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of laboratory operations, functional testing, system integration, environmental testing, and aerospace verification practices.
  • Proficiency interpreting engineering drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, test procedures, interface documentation, and technical specifications.
  • Expertise operating oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, digital multimeters, power supplies, data acquisition systems, and environmental test equipment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of configuration management, ESD controls, FOD prevention, calibration practices, and AS9100 quality standards.
  • Ability to accurately document test activities, hardware configurations, discrepancies, engineering observations, and calibration records.
  • Demonstrates strong technical judgment, troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to provide guidance during complex laboratory and verification activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Laboratory instrumentation and data acquisition software, e.g. LabVIEW or equivalent applications.
  • Engineering documentation and collaboration tools, e.g. Windchill, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent applications.
