This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Be part of the team of experts collaborating and leading overseeing a portfolio of projects to drive manufacturing evolution for Blue’s Lunar Permanence Vehicles based out of facilities on the Florida Space Coast. This role reports to Sr. Manufacturing leader for all human capable Lunar Vehicle Manufacturing.

Senior Advisor to Sr. Manufacturing Leader of Operations
As part of a growing, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will directly support the senior leader of all Lunar human capable vehicle manufacturing. This includes a dynamic, large team involved in the development and implementation of art of the possible manufacturing and operations systems to build the road to space.
Responsibilities:
- Provide mentorship using outstanding knowledge of strategy, business insights, and organizational structure.
- Aid the Operations team in facilitating effective decision-making on complicated scenarios that will have a major effect on the organization.
- High impact on the implementation of critical initiatives that carry out overarching organizational objectives.
- Participate in regular meetings with the Operations VP/SVP and leadership team to evaluate organizational barriers to success and develop courses of action to overcome such issues.
- Collaboratively responsible for effective, efficient, focused, and adaptive decision-making in a high-velocity, intense aerospace environment.
- Gather, coordinate, and present data effectively; ensure decisions are carried out; manage actions for Operations VP.
- Influence leadership to deliver on strategic business goals and objectives with a planned approach, on time and on target. Represent and provide operational support to the Operations VP and serve as strategic expert to a large, diverse, high-value portfolio of projects/programs.
- Collaborate with other members of the Operations VP’s leadership team to align strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization. Develop policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
- Manage strategic and tactical priorities, connect work streams, develop content with Operations VP.
- Coordinate Operations internal communications (e.g., company announcements, Quarterly Updates, all-hands presentations).
- Identify, shape, and lead the implementation of pivotal initiatives, e.g., deep dives in subject areas lacking single-threaded owners, emergent challenges.
- Lead change management activities to evaluate, coordinate, and approve new requirements or changes.
Foundational Skills and Experience:
- Extremely high judgment with high discretion: ability to be exposed to sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
- High capacity for functioning in emerging or ambiguous operating environments, bringing order and alignment in rapidly evolving environments.
- Well-developed project-management skills: organized and focused, showing attention to detail, and following up consistently to ensure results.
- Excellent attention to details; will manage both tactical and strategic-level information and manage all details. Excellent organization skills are a must.
- Excellent “people skills” including the ability to influence by persuasion without direct authority; when appropriate, the ability to act with the authority (and style) of the VP.
- Business savvy, including an understanding of the marketplace, competitors, and technology and what is required for sustained operating results.
- Collaborate with VP and leadership to refine and implement messaging for executives and workforce.
- Demonstrated domain experience operating within at least one corporate function (Engineering, Business Mgt, or Operations preferred).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preference toward Engineering Disciplines.
- 10 years of relevant program management/operational experience.
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, data.
- Ability to balance technical, business, and organizational influences.
- Demonstrated history of independent work, foreseeing problems, delivering on commitments, and accountability.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
