Nori Robotics (YC S26) builds affordable humanoid robots. Our work connects some of the world's most novel multimodal, creative, and behavioral datasets to robots and consumer applications used by real customers. We're looking for hungry, talented, curious people to join our team.

Scope: Own the applications, backend services, and cloud infrastructure used by customers, contributors, and researchers. Build the product workflows and platform that collect, store, secure, and expose data, working with the multimodal engineer on dataset-processing integrations.

What you will work on

• Build consumer and research applications from interfaces to APIs, including accounts, consent, media capture, uploads, review, and search.

• Own databases, object storage, access controls, job queues, and services that support the data and model teams.

• Integrate dataset-processing and model-serving services into complete product workflows, including error handling and recovery.

• Own releases, tests, monitoring, incident recovery, performance, security, and cost as products grow.

Requirements

• Experience shipping and operating production applications, with strong TypeScript and React, Python or Node.js, and SQL.

• Sound backend and infrastructure judgment across database design, cloud storage, queues, access controls, and production reliability.

• Nice to have: large video or audio datasets, vector search, GPU workloads, mobile apps, or infrastructure automation.

About Nori

We manufacture Nori: A sub-$2000 bimanual mobile manipulator that can clean rooms, restock shelves, and fold clothes. Nori can handle basic tasks out of the box, and its software lets anyone teach Nori to automate work specific to their home or business. Nori aims to solve the robotics data bottleneck. By deploying affordable robots to customers around the world, we can gather the diverse data required to train the next generation of generalist robotic policies. Every user of Nori makes Nori smarter. Since launching 6 weeks ago we have already deployed our first robot and have over $440k+ in sales. We can bring general-purpose robotics to homes and businesses that could never afford it before. There are 132.7 million households and 8.4 million employer business locations in the U.S. At $1,688 per robot, selling just one Nori to 0.5% of them represents a $1.2B market opportunity in the U.S. alone.
