Rob Richards

Rob Richards is co-founder and managing partner of Plazacorp Ventures. After a Physics degree at University of Waterloo and a decade at Nortel Networks, Rob caught the start-up bug and co-founded a few companies in advanced technology including helping to pioneer the SaaS model while COO at eCruiter.com, which completed a NASDAQ IPO in 1999. Rob then worked with several early stage companies as advisor /investor /interim CEO. He co-founded the Ventures advisory practice at Plazacorp in 2008. Rob is passionate about the impact of technology on economic and social advancement, with particular interests in energy efficiency and the mobile internet. Rob sits on several boards and is a sought-after advisor to entrepreneurs.
