Tina Saberi Safaei

Tina obtained her PhD from the Electrical and Computer Engineering department of the University of Toronto, after completing her Master’s studies at EPFL in Switzerland and MIT. She is the co-author of 10 publications in prestigious scientific journals in the fields of medical devices and clean tech, and holds a patent for fabrication of a next-generation bio-sensing technology. Today, Tina is PV’s Venture Analyst responsible for the due diligence process on new companies. Additionally, she performs research on market trends and helps identify new investment opportunities. Tina also manages tracking the progress of PV’s portfolio companies by analyzing their board materials and quarterly reports. Tina is an aspiring entrepreneur and before joining the firm she was pursuing her own venture on personalized healthcare as part of the Next36 program.
