Boris Kawohl

Boris Kawohl is a Director, based in Amsterdam. He joined 3i in 2005 and focuses on private equity investments in the Benelux in the Consumer sector. He has been a key deal member on several transactions including Action, the leading Benelux non-food discount retailer focused on international growth; Basic-Fit the leading European discount fitness chain; Refresco, Europe's largest private label soft drinks company with strong European buy and build track record; Electrawinds, a leading Belgian renewable energy company; and Kneip, a Luxemburg based BPO company. Prior to 3i, Boris worked in the M&A department of ABN AMRO and at Nederlandse Gasunie during the de-merger of the company. Boris is a German national who has lived in The Netherlands since 2000. He studied Economics in Groningen (The Netherlands), Knoxville (US) and Kiel (Germany).
