Alexei Alexey Kalinin

Dr. Alexei Alexey Kalinin, Ph.D. is a Senior Partner and Director of Baring Vostok Capital Partners Limited. Dr. Kalinin joined Baring Vostok in February 1999 and his core industries of focus are natural resources, utilities, specialty manufacturing, and real estate development. Dr. Kalinin represents the interests of the fund on the Board of Directors of a wide range of portfolio companies. He was previously the Director of the Department for Direct Investments at Alfa Capital for six years. During this time, Dr. Kalinin was responsible for over 20 private equity portfolio companies. He served as the Chief Executive Officer at Alfa Asset Management. He serves as the Chairman of the Boards of Spasskcement, Samaraenergo, Tops BI, AirInSpace, and SakhInterlesprom. He has been a Non-Executive Director of Etalon Group Limited since 2010. Dr. Kalinin serves as a Director at Veropharm Co. Ltd., Samaraenergo JSC, TopS Business Integrator, Sakhinles, Gallery Group, and Volga Gas plc. Dr. Kalinin also conducted scientific research and lectured for 12 years at Moscow Power Engineering Institute. He also served as a Director of the Youth Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity. Dr. Kalinin holds a Ph.D. in Engineering, Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a B.S. from the Moscow Power Engineering institute (Technical University).
