BoldinRemoteFull Time
Compensation

Job Description

Senior Product Manager

Full-time • Remote

At Boldin, we believe financial confidence should be accessible to everyone. Money decisions shape our lives, yet too often people are left without the clarity or tools they need to make informed choices. We exist to change that.

Boldin is a comprehensive financial planning platform that helps people understand their financial picture, make smarter decisions with their money and time, and plan for the future with confidence.

With over $20M raised and strong momentum, Boldin is entering a pivotal phase of growth. This is an opportunity to join a mission-driven team and help shape the future.

About This Role

Why this role is different

Most retention jobs are about keeping people subscribed to something they could live without. Our subscribers are deciding when and how to retire. That is the biggest financial decision most people ever make, and the ones who build a planning habit make better decisions than the ones who set a plan and forget it. Improve engagement here and you've helped someone retire with confidence instead of anxiety.

A few things you'll inherit that most PMs would love to have:

  • A product people love. Boldin has an active community forum with users who write to us unprompted to say the platform changed their retirement. When you want to talk to customers, they answer.
  • Real ownership. You own retention for our core subscription product end to end. You report to the Head of Product and work directly with leadership.
  • A rich problem. Financial planning is complicated and emotional. Making professional-grade planning feel simple to a first-time planner is one of the better design problems in consumer software, and it's the center of this role.

What you'll do

  • Own retention and engagement outcomes for PlannerPlus. Define the metrics framework, find the root causes of churn, and fix them in the product.
  • Design the rituals and return moments that turn a one-time plan into a planning habit.
  • Take sophisticated planning capabilities, like Roth conversions and withdrawal strategies, and turn them into experiences a first-time planner can use with confidence.
  • Spend real time with subscribers across ages, incomes, and levels of financial literacy, and let what you hear shape the roadmap.
  • Run disciplined experiments and cohort analyses. Be honest about what moved and what didn't.
  • Make retention a company-wide muscle. Share the strategy, the data, and the wins.

Your first year

  • First 90 days. Get deep into the product, the data, and the subscribers. Ship your first experiment. Publish the retention metrics framework the company aligns around.
  • By month 6. You own a prioritized retention roadmap tied to root causes, with early wins shipped and measured.
  • By month 12. Retention is moving, engagement rituals are live, and you're the person the company asks about why subscribers stay.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of B2C product management experience, including direct ownership of retention, engagement, or lifecycle outcomes for a subscription product
  • Fluency in subscription economics. You think in cohorts, LTV, and payback, not just conversion.
  • Strong analytical chops. You can design an experiment, pull your own data, and tell when a result is real.
  • You communicate well enough that engineers, designers, marketers, and executives all feel like one team.
  • Empathy for people who don't think about money all day, and respect for how emotional financial decisions are
  • A real interest in personal finance and retirement planning. Many of us are power users of our own product.

Preferred: experience making complex or expert-domain products accessible to mainstream audiences; background in fintech or alongside CFPs/advisors; fluency with modern AI tools

Not sure you check every box? If you've owned retention for a consumer subscription product and this mission speaks to you, apply anyway.

Compensation and benefits

  • $150,000–$178,000 base, depending on experience
  • Equity: early-stage options with real upside
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with match
  • Flexible PTO / parental leave
  • Fully remote (US).

We want to be as inclusive as possible in our hiring process. If you don’t have 100% of what we’re looking for, but feel like you’re pretty close to growing into the role — please still apply. If a candidate has only 80% of the skills but a fantastic attitude and perspective, they might be the perfect fit.

Boldin values the unique perspectives and contributions of all individuals and we strive to foster a diverse and inclusive culture. We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including and not limited to people of any race, ethnicity, or national origin, individuals with differing abilities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, veterans, gender minorities, women and people from underrepresented communities. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with differing abilities throughout the recruitment process. If you require any accommodations, please let us know, and we will work with you to meet your needs.
