
Job Description
Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Debug and resolve electrical and mechanical issues on existing test platforms and development vehicles.
Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with hardware and software engineers to build test fixtures, execute validation procedures, and provide feedback on design manufacturability.
Fabrication & Rework: Perform mechanical modifications and electrical rework using manual machine shop tools.
Workflow Management: Independently manage, track, and prioritize multiple concurrent requests from the engineering team to ensure project timelines are met.
Qualifications
4 + years of Experience
Vehicle Systems Experience: Extensive hands-on experience working with electric vehicles (EVs) or electric material handling equipment (such as electric forklifts, tuggers, or reach trucks).
Low-Voltage DC Expertise: Proficient in troubleshooting low-voltage DC electrical systems.
Fabrication Skills: Competent in the safe operation of manual shop tools, including manual drills, lathes, band saws, and grinders, for rapid prototyping and rework. Competent in Wiring harness assembly and validation. Some knowledge of PCB rework and soldering is a plus.
Documentation Literacy: Ability to read, interpret, and work directly from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and CAD models.
