Would you like to play a key role in continuously improving the uptime of our Wafer Processing and Metrology equipment while working together with internal and external experts, then we might be looking for you!

Because of retirement of a colleague we are able to offer you this unique position in a fully equipped, advanced semiconductor fabrication fab within our own ASML Veldhoven campus.


In our Service Lab wafers and reticles are prepared for exposure, processed after exposure, measured and recycled and the mission is to deliver these wafers and reticles on time with the right quality to our customers.


The Service Lab also supports D&E in the development of pellicles.
 

Role and responsibilities

This function is in Support Roster (2-shift), within the group “MFS Service Lab Equipment Support”.


The team consists of 13 Competence Engineers that together with international suppliers and service partners, provide professional technical support services to prevent technical availability loss of our production facility.


All team members continuously develop their general knowledge to be able to offer (organize) 1st line repair or containment, securing optimal recovery and fast solution when a tool is reported down.


As (back-up) tool owner you will develop yourself as a technical support specialist within the team on tools assigned to you:

  • As the Equipment Support representative, work together closely with the different departments to support a smooth introduction, involving equipment (supplier) selection, move-in, installation and final acceptance of new equipment. And when the decision is made to phase out, support moving the equipment out again.
  • Support in defining team training requirements, recommendation on spare parts and service agreements with suppliers.
  • Perform 2nd line troubleshooting and routine maintenance (exchange of consumables).
  • Coordinate periodical maintenance executed by supplier experts. Check the recording of the performed activities and the spare part consumption for follow-up actions/orders needed.
  • Take initiative in escalations to get supplier expertise involved in-time, keeping stakeholders updated.
  • Postmortem analysis, initiating structural solutions to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Ensure the correct stock of all necessary parts with the aim of having all necessary parts available on time, so that maintenance can be planned efficiently, and breakdowns/repairs take as little time as possible.
  • Create & maintain work instructions for First-line recovery and give knowledge transfers to colleagues for both Equipment Support and Process Technicians.
  • Observe day to day execution and performance of the equipment and initiate improvements (measured in Uptime, MTTR, and MTBF).

Education

  • Vocational / Bachelor with technical background (for example Mechatronics).


Experience

  • Relevant experience of servicing high-tech equipment.
  • Experience with MS Office platform.
  • IT experience is a strong advantage.

  • Broad technical knowledge, strong analytical mind.
  • Being visibly present on the shop floor daily.
  • Bilingual (English/Dutch) needed.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
