Hi, I’m Kate Hillier Isaac, SVP Commercial Engineering & Operations at hx. I lead our GTM Engineering & Operations, Analytics and Financial Planning teams, and I’ve spent my career working with large, complex commercial organisations, from Google and Microsoft to the scale-up journey here at hx.

What excites me about this role is that almost nothing about our GTM motion is steady state. We’re launching new motions, working with much larger and more complex enterprise accounts, changing how pre and post-sales work together, and introducing agentic workflows into how the revenue organisation operates.

So this isn’t a role about inheriting a RevOps machine and making it 10% better. It’s an opportunity to help rebuild the operating system behind how we grow, from pipeline creation and multithreaded engagement through to expansion, and to work out where better data, systems and agents can create genuinely different levels of leverage.

I’m looking for someone who wants to run the business and transform it at the same time. Someone who can make hx feel better run as we become more complex, not harder to run.

Let’s speak soon.

Kate

About hyperexponential (hx)

At hyperexponential, we’re building the agentic platform for commercial insurance underwriting.
Underwriters make decisions that shape the real world: which risks to take, how to price them, and where capital gets deployed. Those decisions can determine whether a new technology gets built, a business can grow, or a community can recover after disaster.

Yet much of the industry still makes billion-dollar decisions through fragmented systems, manual workflows and technology that wasn’t built for the complexity of modern risk.

hx is changing that. We bring together data, models, AI and human judgement so insurers can understand risk more deeply, make better decisions faster and ultimately enable the world to take more risk with confidence.

Born in London, hx is now a global team of nearly 300 people across London, New York and Warsaw. Leading global carriers and MGAs use hx to support underwriting across more than $75bn of annual commercial P&C premium. Backed by a16z, Highland Europe and Battery Ventures, we’re scaling rapidly across products, markets and geographies.

AI is changing what great work looks like, and we’re building hx around that reality. People here get real ownership, high expectations and the space to use these tools to increase the quality and ambition of what they can do.

About Revenue Operations

Revenue Operations sits at the centre of how hx grows.

As we scale across products, markets and geographies, the challenge is no longer simply to make our GTM engine more efficient. It’s to build an operating system that can make a complex revenue organisation run exceptionally well today while continuously redesigning how it should work in an agentic future.

You’ll lead RevOps across Sales, Marketing and Customer, bringing together the systems, data, processes and operating rhythms that underpin the full customer journey. This is a hands-on leadership role. We want someone who can set the architecture, get deep into the detail when needed, and use AI and automation to fundamentally change the amount and quality of work the team can deliver.

What you’ll be doing

Own the end-to-end Revenue Operations strategy across Sales, Marketing and Customer, creating one coherent operating system across the full funnel.
Oversee teams that own forecasting, pipeline management, territory and capacity planning, target setting and performance management, ensuring leaders have a clear and trusted view of the business.
Run and optimize the core commercial operating cadences, including QBRs, Pipeline Councils and other mechanisms that turn data into decisions and decisions into action.
Redesign workflows around AI and automation, not simply layer AI onto existing processes. Identify where judgement matters, where work can be automated, and where technology can materially increase human leverage.
Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer, Finance and Strategy leadership on growth planning, resource allocation and major commercial decisions.
Own the RevOps technology roadmap and ensure our systems architecture can support the particulars of our multi-product and multi-market business.

What you’ll need to have done

We care more about the problems you’ve solved and the quality of your thinking than a perfectly linear career path. You’ll likely have:

Led Revenue Operations, GTM Operations or a similarly broad commercial operations function in a high-growth B2B business.
Operated across more than one part of the funnel, with a strong understanding of how Sales, Marketing and Customer systems connect.
Worked with complex enterprise sales motions where pipeline quality, deal progression, forecasting and capacity planning require real commercial judgement.
Been a trusted partner to senior commercial leaders, able to challenge assumptions and influence decisions rather than simply service requests.
Strong hands-on understanding of CRM, automation and the broader GTM technology stack & used AI and automation to create meaningful operational leverage, rather than treating them as side experiments.
Worked successfully in environments where the operating model is still evolving and there often isn’t an existing playbook to follow

How we lead in an AI-forward company

hx is a maximally AI-forward company because we believe AI should increase the value of exceptional people, not replace it.

For leaders, that means staying close to what’s changing, continuing to learn, and bringing that into how you lead, how your team works, and what you believe your function can now achieve.

The bar is simple: your team should work meaningfully better because of how you lead in this new world.

Compensation

Salary range: $230,000–$290,000
Performance bonus: 20% ($46,000–$58,000)
Total OTE: $276,000–$348,000

Equity: We offer equity across all roles at hx, so this will form a meaningful part of your overall compensation. Your Talent Partner can talk you through the details during the process.

A note on level: We’re considering candidates across Senior Director and VP level for this role, which is why the range is relatively broad. We’ll assess level based on the scope you’ve owned, the impact you’ve had, your experience and the level at which we believe you can operate at hx. If we get to offer stage, that assessment will inform where we land within the range.

Benefits

$6000 training and conference budget for individual and group development.
Full medical, dental, vision package to fit your needs
Mental health support via Spring Health and Rula
Access to One Medical
Flexible vacation policy; work hard and take time when you need it

Additional perks

Top-spec equipment (laptop, screens, adjustable desks, etc.).
Regular hackathons, lunch & learns, and socials, both remote and in-person, to foster collaboration and creativity.
Team breakfasts and lunches, fully stocked snacks and drinks, and a fun, creative office at WeWork - 500, 7th Avenue.
Access to cutting-edge AI tools and experimentation budget, giving you the freedom to test, learn, and innovate ahead of the market.
