What You Will Do
- Lead a space program for Supply Chain as the Material Program Manager, developing, implementing, and optimizing material strategies, plans, and supplier risk‑mitigation activities while effectively communicating status, issues, and recommendations to the program office and functional leadership.
- Responsible for leading the development, coordination and execution of all program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives.
- Coordinate and support supplier engagements, negotiations, to drive coordination with Subcontract Managers.
- Support Supply Chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates that align with price to win (PTW) targets.
- Support the development and execution of material program plans (MPP), ensuring alignment with overall program objectives.
- Support the development and execution of risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Track key performance metrics and take proactive steps to resolve program and functional challenges.
- Achieve overall objectives and long-range goals of the program and the program IPT team.
- Lead discussions and presentations to all levels of management, senior leadership, and customers.
- This role will require you to be on site in our El Segundo, CA facility.
- This position is contingent upon contract award.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum ten (10) years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum seven (7) years’ experience.
- Minimum of (8) years’ experience in supplier management, project management, and/or program management, within a Space portfolio.
- Experience using manufacturing or enterprise planning tools.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience with government regulations (i.e., FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.).
- Experience developing and analyzing performance metrics.
- Experience with Proposal and New Business Capture.
- Experience with program startup (schedule planning, start-up gate/staffing forecasting)

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
