What sets us apart is our expertise in international shipping—enabling brands like Carpe, Comfrt, Rhode, The Ridge Wallet, and Hexclad to scale globally with ease. Our extensive network, in-house team of logistics and ecommerce experts, integrations with Shopify and other ecommerce platforms, and user-friendly portal make us the trusted partner for growth-focused brands looking to expand internationally and create seamless cross-border experiences.
Passport is building the internationalization platform for modern commerce—powering cross-border shipping, localized checkout, and Seller of Record tax compliance. Our Finance team is scaling to support multi-entity operations, faster closes, and automation across systems, controls, and global tax.
One of our Values is “You are an owner”. We’re growing quickly, and there are gaps to fill and skills to develop along the way. Passport was recently acquired by industry leading public company, Global-e. As a result, we are working towards updating our processes and financials to comply with audit and SOX requirements for a public company. This role is a perfect fit for anyone who values being able to own your own projects, implement new efficiencies, and enjoy a role where every week is something new.
What you'll do:
Assist in managing the general ledger and month-end close for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy through reconciliations, variance analysis, and clear documentation.
Drive faster, repeatable close cycles with strong controls and standardized checklists.
Lead multi-entity consolidations and intercompany processes with audit-ready documentation.
Partner with Product and Billing teams on revenue recognition and accurate revenue–COGS matching across freight, duties, and taxes.
Support chart of accounts restructuring by implementing consistent numbering, rationalizing parent–child groupings, and preparing for ERP migration.
Strengthen cash, banking, and payments operations in tools like Ramp and Airwallex; ensure clean reconciliations and seamless integrations.
Collaborate with Tax on global operations, including VAT filings, IOSS reviews, reconciliations, and audit-ready compliance.
Build and maintain SOPs and process documentation; champion automation and control improvements with BizOps and Data teams.
What we're looking for:
3–5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience, including multi-entity close and consolidations.
CPA highly preferred

Demonstrated experience improving the close process and strengthening documentation and controls.
Proven cross-functional collaboration with operations, product, and data teams to resolve billing, costing, and reconciliation issues.
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets; comfort with SQL or BI tools is a plus.
E-commerce, logistics, or fintech exposure, especially tax-at-checkout and cross-border operations.
Familiarity with global indirect tax flows and reconciliations.
