An opportunity for a Space Systems Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Management Specialist has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).


The selected candidate will join the IBP Management Department within the Space Systems Quality organization, with a future transition planned toward the Space Systems organization and the Bromo Joint Venture once confirmed.


As a central link across multiple teams, the department drives the implementation and execution of Integrated Business Planning processes. The team operates in a fast-paced environment focused on translating strategic business outcomes into concrete financial and operational resource requirements through data-driven governance.


RESPONSIBILITIES


The main tasks of the jobholder will be:

  • Apply End-to-End IBP governance methods to translate business targets into accurate financial and operational resource requirements.
  • Synchronize corporate planning processes (S&OP, financial, and headcount planning) to optimize data quality and data integrity.
  • Maintain and evolve the digital toolset (CANOPY, OPTIM, QLIK) as the single source of truth for Workload and Workforce data.
  • Monitor workload/workforce metrics, build live dashboards, and analyze data to support strategic portfolio decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business partners and represent the organization in internal IBP forums to ensure smooth cross-functional information flow.
  • Drive continuous improvement roadmaps, Agile solutions, and deliver IBP concept training across target groups.

  • Education: Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Proven professional experience in Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), or strategic resource/workload management.
  • Soft skills: High adaptability to work on complex topics, strong change management mindset, agile problem-solving skills, and ability to coordinate extensive stakeholder networks.
  • Languages: Advanced level in English & Spanish (both written & spoken).
  • Technical knowledge: Advanced proficiency in workload/workforce management platforms and digital analytics tools (CANOPY, OPTIM, QLIK), data architecture, and predictive modeling principles.
  • Valuable / Nice to have: Experience in organizational transformation/Joint Ventures, change management certifications, or expertise in specific driver-based resource modeling.
