Founded in 2021, the Airbus Global Business Services (AGBS) unit will be contributing to Airbus’ global success and play a vital role in Airbus’ transformation journey in standardisation, harmonisation, digitalisation and automation of end-to-end processes (e.g. Procure to Pay) of all overhead functions.

Responsibilities - your mission

Offers Costing pricing 
 

  • Supports the consolidation of costing and pricing for offers within defined product or program perimeters. Assists in tracking cost convergence towards the Target Must Cost.

  • Helps coordinate with engineering, operations, commercial, and procurement stakeholders to establish cost transparency and gather necessary inputs.

  • Contributes to the preparation of the offer "cost brochure" and detailed costing files, ensuring alignment with provided technical and commercial baselines.

  • Assists in calculating final prices and preparing financial elements for integration into relevant gates (MG3, RMC).

  • Supports promotion of Cost Engineering capabilities in AD
     

Cost models and referential management 
 

  • Supports the configuration and update of cost models with the relevant cost owners using structured data base with or not parametric to support the costing of project / program / equipment

  • Assists in collecting actuals from running projects, support to identify  identify and evaluate with project staffing changes to previous run (e.g. CCNs, waterfall, revenu+MR+TC evolution);

  • Supports preparation/update deviation/cost evolution report (template defined by Airbus);

  • Supports preparation of inputs for benchmark database (TARGET/Excel input format for cost referentials inputs).
     

Independent cost estimate
 

  • Performs independent cost estimate of systems & subsystem in order to secure bottom-up quotation with a “third party approach using analytic, parametric or similarity approach.

  • Helps to explain costing results to support “gap analysis” and help to identify risks and opportunities.

Operational tasks

  • Supports activities to ensure accurate and timely quotation deliveries by the cost owners.

  • Delivers should cost to support the convergence towards the TMC/TMP and support the Senior representatives for Bids

  • Help to secure close alignment between the internal customer needs and the cost engineering support provided

  • Determines the approach for the cost estimations and defines the resources needed to support the execution of the subject estimation.

  • Delivers the Bid Cost brochure (set of assumptions and deliverables aligned with the consolidated costing) for the Industrial and Cost review

  • Prepares the pricing and all the financial entries of the Offer decisional gates (MGs, RMC…)

  • Supports the Pricing team for the commercial offer finalization up to contract signature.

  • Supoorts the transition from the costing to the Program EAC after program Kick Off. 

  • Prepares, and synthesises the required assumptions for an independent costing estimate. In case of partial inputs, generate consistent assumptions in agreement with programs

  • Compiles, deliver all cost engineering files to internal customers explaining rationale and cost impacts related to the assumptions

  • Consolidates cost estimates from various cost engineering domains and deliver it to the customer (internal). Support Programs in cost target setting and negotiation/Buy-in with stakeholders

  • Supports Programs to challenge, assess and negotiate costs of suppliers and / or internal cost owners 

  • Analyses the variance between the cost engineering view and other sources of estimation and support reconciliation /negotiation

  • Secures knowledge management on cost evolution and requests for customer
