Method is hiring 11+ roles — yet trackers see zero new posts in 30 days

By Andrew Chang

The Numbers Don't Match

Method, the QuickBooks-native CRM, posted a Head of Customer Success role in New York last week at a $225,000–$275,000 band — the latest salaried opening on its live board and the highest ceiling yet. The median band across all ten positions sits at $200,000. They cluster in engineering, product, data partnerships, and solutions roles across New York and San Francisco. That much is verifiable from the company's own applicant tracking system, ingested directly by Zero G Talent.

Third-party aggregators disagree on the velocity. Figured, mirroring the same ATS feed, counts 13 open roles but flags zero new postings in the preceding 30 days. Zero G Talent's company profile page cites 14. The discrepancy matters: Figured's "zero in 30 days" suggests a hiring pulse that has gone quiet, while the first-party board shows at least one fresh requisition in seven days. Hiring velocity measures whether the pace is intensifying, holding steady, or cooling down; right now the sources disagree on which regime Method occupies.

Method's own materials fill the commercial context. The company reports 18,000-plus users, more than two million estimates created, and trust from over 10,000 QuickBooks businesses across 14-plus years. Revenue has doubled over the past three years. Customers report cutting order-processing time by 20 to 30 percent. That growth trajectory, not a funding announcement, is the primary driver of the current hiring push. The board's six-figure bands, concentrated in senior engineering, product leadership, solutions engineering, and customer-success operations, indicate where capital is being allocated: product expansion and enterprise-grade delivery.

Where the Roles Sit

Method's current openings cluster in four functional bands: core engineering, product leadership, solutions-facing technical roles, and customer-success operations. The six most recent listings, all posted from New York or San Francisco, illustrate the weighting:

Role Location Salary Band (USD/yr) Functional Band
Head of Customer Success New York, NY 225,000–275,000 Operations / Post‑Sales Leadership
Product Lead, Commerce New York, NY 180,000–240,000 Product Strategy
Senior Software Engineer New York, NY 195,000–235,000 Core Engineering
Data Partnerships Lead New York, NY 165,000–220,000 Business Development / Data Product
Solutions Engineer San Francisco, CA 170,000–200,000 Solutions Engineering / Pre‑Sales
Solutions Consultant San Francisco, CA 170,000–200,000 Solutions Consulting / Delivery

The engineering cohort is lean — two openings against four commercial-technical roles, which aligns with leadership's stated operating philosophy that "the next great software companies will be built by lean teams." The Senior Software Engineer role sits in New York alongside the product and data hires, while the solutions engineers and consultant sit in San Francisco.

Outside the board's live listings, Method Engineering Group (a separate entity at methodeg.com) advertises three MEP-focused positions — Electrical Engineer / Project Manager, Mechanical Engineer/Designer, and Electrical Engineer/Designer, all based in Savannah, Georgia. Those roles target licensed Professional Engineers for K-12, multifamily, hospitality, and government building-systems work, not the digital product roles the New York/San Francisco board captures. Method Security (method.security) lists a careers page framing "Build at the frontier of security and AI" but shows no discrete roles on the board as of this pull. Conflating the three entities would misread Method's footprint; the hiring surge belongs to the QuickBooks CRM business.

Why Now

Method operates as the customizable CRM layer for businesses that run on QuickBooks or Xero. Its core mission, stated plainly across its own materials, is to replace the disconnected spreadsheets and rigid workflows that growing companies outgrow with a single system that syncs deeply with QuickBooks — preserving the accounting ledger while adding the sales, operations, and customer-management logic QuickBooks was never designed to provide. The differentiation is specific: where other CRMs rely on connectors or overnight batch syncs, Method was built specifically for QuickBooks, offering a two-way sync that keeps finance and sales looking at the same data without double entry. That architectural bet, deep integration over broad platform neutrality, has defined the product for over a decade.

The hiring surge aligns with a classic SaaS inflection: after proving product-market fit in a vertical (QuickBooks/Xero users), the company is widening the product to capture more of the customer's operating workflow — commerce, payments, invoicing, and the data layer that connects them. The roles reflect that expansion. A Product Lead for Commerce and a Data Partnerships Lead suggest new revenue surfaces; Solutions Engineers and Consultants indicate a shift toward higher-touch enterprise deals; a Head of Customer Success at a $275,000 ceiling signals retention and expansion revenue are now board-level priorities.

What Candidates Face

Publicly available interview reports specific to Method remain scarce. A search of Glassdoor's interview database returns no detailed entries for Method as of the latest crawl. The platform's own tutorial on extracting interview questions walks users through filtering by job title and location, then opening individual reviews to capture question lists, difficulty ratings, and outcome notes. That workflow works when a company has accumulated enough candidate submissions; for Method, the volume has not yet crossed the threshold where patterns become visible.

No public source confirms whether Method uses take-home assessments, contract-to-hire trials, or reference checks before the final panel. The company's careers portal does not publish a process FAQ.

Until Method accumulates a critical mass of Glassdoor or Blind entries, the most reliable signal remains the role specifications themselves. Candidates who map their preparation to those explicit technical domains — and who can demonstrate shipped integrations in adjacent environments, are the ones recruiters at this stage of the vertical SaaS market consistently advance.

The Head of Customer Success role posted last week still sits open. Two million estimates have passed through the platform since the last time Method hired for that seat.
