"Part of joining YC is also that you know Paul and you Jess are married and it's like our role model," Masad said. Masad's own trajectory reinforces this. He has described contributing "quite a bit to the language" (JavaScript) and building tools that let a 13-year-old ship a Chrome extension bypassing paywalls in a week. "Recently one of my friends he was actually able to build a full end-to-end online site from one command with a few tweaks with Replit Agent which is a new feature. So he built a Chrome extension that lets you block the paywall of Washington Post, New York Times, OnlyFans and he built all of this in one week and he's only 13 years old," Masad said in a Kai Lentit interview.
Enterprise customers — SoFi, Zillow, PayPal, Stripe, Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Atlassian, Boeing, ClickUp, Coinbase, Duolingo — appear on Replit's "Trusted by teams at" lists.
Pay and Leverage: Cash Leads, Equity Follows
