Clarion Partners With WeInfuse as It Scales AI Voice Agents for Healthcare

By Zero G Talent•

Clinics nationwide miss 30% to 40% of inbound calls because of staffing shortages, leaving patients struggling to connect with medical staff for appointment scheduling, prescription refills, and billing inquiries. New York-based Clarion builds multichannel AI agents that handle these front-office workflows end-to-end, serving tens of thousands of patients monthly across outpatient health systems, virtual care companies, and insurance providers.

In October 2026, Clarion announced a strategic partnership with software vendor PR Newswire to bring AI agents directly to infusion providers and specialty pharmacies using WeInfuse. Through the integration, Clarion's agents connect to live order, authorization, and appointment data to resolve patient phone calls automatically. Medix Infusion, a national multi-site infusion center organization, was the first provider to deploy the integrated system.

Clinical and Voice AI Expertise

Clarion was co-founded in 2024 by CEO Ryan Gallagher and CTO Jeffrey Lamothe. Gallagher is a Stanford- and Harvard-trained physician who was on the founding teams of Two Chairs and Ophelia. Lamothe previously worked on voice AI at Amazon Alexa and led machine learning projects at Salesforce.

The 14-person startup operates as an in-person team in New York. The company has raised $5.4 million in seed funding from Accel, Y Combinator, Unpopular Ventures, and a Sequoia scout fund, along with individual backing from healthcare founders.

Integrating Real-Time Voice Infrastructure

Building AI agents for medical communication requires navigating complex technical challenges. The system must process speech in real time with millisecond latency, maintain strict HIPAA compliance, and interface with fragmented infrastructure ranging from modern cloud APIs to legacy health record platforms.

To support these integrations, Clarion is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to build clinical workflows directly for healthcare clients. On the product side, the engineering team is recruiting a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build application interfaces and system architecture.

Scaling Commercial and Operational Teams

As adoption grows across medical practices, Clarion is expanding its business, design, and operations teams in New York. The product team is adding a Founding Product Designer to design workflow tools for practice managers.

On the commercial side, open positions include an Account Executive, a Growth Associate, and a Customer Success Manager. Operations and recruiting efforts are supported by open roles for a Strategy & Operations Lead, a Marketing Lead, and a Talent Acquisition Lead.
