The ~175-person workforce sits at the intersection of three workstreams: designing and building spacecraft, operating the constellations those spacecraft form, and selling the data and capacity those constellations deliver. That triangle shapes every team a candidate joins, and it dictates a hiring model that pays hard-tech market rates with equity as a core component, screens for technical depth and systems thinking, and selects for comfort with ambiguity, ownership, and rapid iteration in a hybrid work model.

Engineering makes up the largest share. Software engineers write flight code, ground systems, and the autonomy layer that lets a constellation retask itself on orbit. Program management sits beside engineering, not above it. The common thread across every team is platform thinking. Muon doesn't build bespoke satellites; it builds a configurable bus that absorbs payload variance while holding cost and schedule. The senior manager band ($294k–$328k) (Zero G Talent's data shows) and the commercial manager band ($230k–$350k) (according to Zero G Talent's board) overlap, suggesting the latter's width accommodates both high-performing individual contributors and early-stage managers. The Mission Execution Chief of Staff role, a hybrid operations and program-management seat, lands at $233k–$262k (Zero G Talent's figures put it), squarely inside the board's typical band.

Notably absent from the current snapshot are engineering titles (GNC, avionics, RF, software, propulsion, structures, thermal, AIT). That doesn't mean Muon isn't hiring engineers; the company is roughly 175 people and has launched four satellites in 4.5 years, which requires deep technical teams. It means the board's ingest hasn't yet captured an engineering posting with a disclosed range.

Equity is a core component of every offer (the company's messaging confirms it), but the board does not ingest grant sizes or strike prices, so no grounded figures exist here. The company has raised three rounds. In practice, it means candidates are asked to reason from a messy, real-world constraint: a wildfire detection latency requirement, a ground-station contact window, or a power envelope on a small satellite.
