Careers at Endra: Teams, Pay and How to Get Hired

By Andrew Chang

The Profile Endra Seeks

Endra, a 2024 Swedish startup automating MEP design with computational geometry and LLMs, priced its Series A talent at $175,000–$250,000. The company recruits highly technical talent across multiple disciplines and locations, offers compensation anchored in the top of the industry band, and runs a rigorous interview process that rewards depth over breadth.

David Rydberg founded Endra in Sweden in 2024. Andreessen Horowitz led a $50 million Series A in June 2026, a16z Jobs reported. Offices now run in New York, San Francisco, and London. The product generates code-compliant 3D and 2D models, placing devices and routing systems that once took weeks of manual CAD work, then syncs them into Revit, the dominant BIM tool used by the enterprise consultancies Endra sells to. Four leaders, including Niklas Lindgren and Anton Juric, run the executive team from Stockholm. The public org chart shows roughly a dozen open roles across the three hubs.

Hiring spans five functions. Software Engineer – Product roles sit in New York and San Francisco at $175,000–$250,000. Product marketing has two senior slots: a Marketing Lead in New York at the same band, and a Founding Product Marketing Lead in San Francisco at $180,000–$220,000. A Founding Content & Events Marketing Lead, also in San Francisco, caps at $220,000 and runs founder-led programming, including conferences, executive dinners, and roundtables, signaling a go-to-market motion built on direct engagement with engineering firms. Two Product Specialist – Electrical roles round out the board: New York at $150,000–$200,000, London at £65,000–£75,000 (roughly $82,000–$95,000), a gap that reflects local market calibration, not role scope.

Role Location Salary Band (USD)
Software Engineer – Product New York City $175,000 – $250,000
Software Engineer – Product San Francisco Bay Area $175,000 – $250,000
Marketing Lead New York City $175,000 – $250,000
Founding Product Marketing Lead San Francisco Bay Area $180,000 – $220,000
Founding Content & Events Marketing Lead San Francisco Bay Area up to $220,000
Product Specialist – Electrical New York City $150,000 – $200,000
Product Specialist – Electrical London £65,000 – £75,000 (~$82k–$95k)

The careers page states: "We want people who care deeply about the software we ship, whether in engineering, design, support, or sales." Domain fluency in MEP isn't required for every seat; obsession with software quality is the baseline. Ownership, mentioned in the founding vision, is a filter. Candidates who have shipped a complex feature end-to-end, or owned a customer relationship from pilot to renewal, fit the profile.

The workforce is still forming. The public jobs map shows roughly a dozen openings against six salaried roles on the Zero G Talent board — controlled expansion, not a hiring sprint. Two electrical specialists, one on each side of the Atlantic, embed domain experts in the product loop. Endra hires for depth in one discipline plus enough breadth to collaborate across the geometry-simulation-LLM stack.

Compensation at the Top of the AI Band

Endra prices talent like a later-stage company while running an 11–50 person team. First-party job board data shows a $119,000–$250,000 range, Zero G Talent's figures put the top of the band at $250,000, with a $235,000 median across six salaried roles in the last cycle, backed by $73.4 million in disclosed funding, including $50 million raised in June 2026 per a16z Jobs.

New York and San Francisco bands match for engineering and marketing leadership, signaling location-agnostic pricing for core product roles. The London electrical specialist role aligns with local market rates. The Founding Product Marketing Lead's tighter band suggests more defined scope; the broader Marketing Lead carries variable upside tied to pipeline ownership.

Third-party aggregators tell a different story. 6figr.com reports an $82,000 average from one 2025 profile; Glassdoor shows five salaries across four roles. Both likely capture ENDRA Life Sciences (NASDAQ: NDRA), the 2009-founded medical ultrasound company — not Endra.ai, the 2024 proptech startup. SEC filings for director option grants (600 options annually, three-year vest) also belong to the public medical device company. Endra.ai's employee equity structure isn't publicly documented; candidates should ask recruiters for the current option pool size, strike price, and vesting schedule (the industry default at this stage: four years with a one-year cliff).

Benefits data is thin. No detailed benefits package appears in public postings. At Series A with $50 million fresh capital, the baseline likely includes competitive health coverage, standard equity refreshers for top performers, and hardware/software budgets matching a C++/Python/Revit stack. Treat posted salary bands as the negotiation floor; press for the full total-compensation picture (equity percentage, refresh policy, benefits) before final-stage interviews.

Inside the Interview Loop

Public detail on Endra.ai's interview loop is scarce. The ENDRA Life Sciences careers page (a different company) includes a fraud advisory noting that employment policies involve personal interviews and candidates never pay money upfront. For sales roles, jobmentis.com describes a defined loop with real questions, a rubric, and documented common mistakes, which is a structured grading framework. Engineering and product roles on that board show top-of-market bands.

The fraud advisory is unusually specific: five "Please Do Not" actions, including responding to unfamiliar propositions and sending money. That detail suggests the medical-device company has seen impersonation attempts targeting applicants. Legitimate outreach for Endra.ai comes through its careers portal. Anything else isn't the company.

Treat the absent published loop as a signal to prepare for depth. The posted roles, including product marketing, full-stack product engineering, and electrical product specialization, each demand cross-disciplinary fluency. A software engineer will likely face questions bridging computational geometry, Revit API constraints, and LLM-driven code generation. The electrical specialist role implies hardware-in-the-loop validation of routing algorithms. The marketing lead sits at the intersection of technical outcomes and procurement language. None are single-discipline hires.

Until Endra publishes an interview guide or candidate debriefs surface, prepare by studying the technical problem space — coordinated 3D routing at scale, deterministic geometry kernels, the Revit synchronization bottleneck — and articulating how your discipline advances that roadmap. The sales rubric exists. The engineering rubric doesn't, at least not publicly. Assume the bar is the product.

Three Hubs, One Product Stack

Endra's live job board shows active hiring in New York City, the San Francisco Bay Area, London, and Stockholm, sites where product and commercial teams expand. The founding team sits in Stockholm; go-to-market runs through the coastal U.S. hubs and London. Engineers in New York pair with product specialists in London. Time-zone overlap is thin. Documentation must be precise. Decisions from a Stockholm design review reach a San Francisco sprint planning session without distortion. People needing synchronous alignment stall. Those who thrive write the spec, record the Loom, and trust the async loop.

New York City hosts the Marketing Lead, Software Engineer – Product, and Product Specialist – Electrical. San Francisco Bay Area hosts Software Engineer – Product, Founding Product Marketing Lead, and Founding Content & Events Marketing Lead. London hosts Product Specialist – Electrical, Software Engineer – Product, Software Engineer – Optimization, Software Engineer – Core, BIM Engineer, and Marketing Lead. Board data shows six salaried roles across these sites, a lean team for a platform spanning computational geometry, simulation, LLM code generation, Revit integration, and multi-region code compliance.

The NYC electrical specialist role is an outlier, possibly supporting field validation remotely or managing contractor feedback loops, but confirms the product org spans coasts. With $50 million Series A capital and a team under 50, every site runs lean. Match your discipline to the site's charter: core product engineers to NYC or the Bay Area, field-facing domain specialists to London, founding-team adjacency to Stockholm.

The Founding Content & Events Marketing Lead, also in San Francisco, caps at $220,000, according to a16z Jobs, and runs founder-led programming, including conferences, executive dinners, and roundtables, signaling a go-to-market motion built on direct engagement with engineering firms.

Why Domain Fluency Wins

Endra sits at an unusual intersection: an AI platform that must speak fluent MEP engineering. The product generates 3D models and coordinated drawings for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, then syncs them into Revit. That constraint shapes every hire. A software engineer treating Revit as a black box ships features consultants can't adopt. An electrical engineer who can't reason about data structures designs workflows the platform can't automate. The people who last hold both sides in their head at once.

The hiring data bears this out. Of six salaried roles on that board, three are product-focused software engineers, two are product specialists with electrical-engineering backgrounds, and one is a founding product marketing lead. No pure research, sales-engineer, or infra roles exist. Every opening sits on the product–domain boundary. Candidates optimizing for breadth ("full-stack generalist," "growth marketer") don't map. The company hires for the specific intersection its product demands.

That intersection dictates the collaboration model. This collaboration model is as described in the 'Three Hubs, One Product Stack' section.

The domain filters for a specific mindset. MEP engineering is regulated, risk-averse, fragmented — every jurisdiction has its own codes, every consultancy its own standards library. Endra's AI must produce deterministic output; a duct sizing error fails a building inspection. The engineering blog frames this as "coordinated design workflows"; the subtext is constraint satisfaction at scale. Engineers who ship fast and break things in consumer SaaS choke here. Those who stay treat determinism as a feature, not a limitation. They write tests for edge cases a fire-code reviewer would catch.

Sales and customer success face the same filter. The buyer is a partner or technical director at an engineering consultancy evaluating Endra against their Revit workflow, liability insurance, and project deadlines. A rep leading with "AI-powered" gets tuned out. Reps who close lead with technical outcomes — and prove it in the prospect's model. The founding product marketing role exists because Endra needs someone who translates technical outcomes into procurement language without flattening the engineering.

Glassdoor reviews for Endra.ai are sparse; those that exist cite high autonomy, low hand-holding, strong technical opinions. That matches the a16z portfolio pattern — firms there hire senior ICs who operate like founders of their own component, then get out of the way. Endra's path to 100 employees globally means the first 50 still define the culture. The next 50 will reinforce or dilute it. The hiring bar is the current team's willingness to bet their equity on the candidate.

If one trait compounds across engineering, product, and commercial, it's domain fluency as a first-class engineering skill. Not "I took a class on HVAC." Not "I read the Revit API docs last weekend." Fluency means you've felt the pain of a coordination clash before a deadline. You know why the electrical engineer hates the mechanical engineer's cable tray routing. You've seen a change order cascade through three disciplines and blow the fee. Endra hires people who have lived the problem, then gives them tools to automate the solution. Everyone else is just visiting.
