Founding GTM

The Prompting Company is hiring a Founding GTM to own how we get discovered, trusted, and chosen — by the humans who buy us and the agents that recommend us.

This is a true founding role. You will write the GTM playbook: positioning, content, demand, community, and the motion that turns technical buyers into customers. There is no marketing team and no brand book. You'll build it with the founders.

Our buyers are Growth, DevRel, and PMM at companies like NVIDIA, Vercel, Databricks, Rho, and Exa. They are allergic to fluff. You need to speak GEO, agents, and technical content well enough that those people take the meeting.

This is not a generic enterprise hunting seat. If you have launched or sold at a real product company, can generate your own pipeline, and would rather ship the launch than sit in a forecast call, this will fit.

What you'll do

• Own positioning and narrative for Discovery and Agent Experience
• Build outbound and inbound that actually reaches technical marketing, DevRel, and PMM
• Write and ship content and launches, not just briefs
• Sit in customer Slack and run first conversation through close alongside the founders
• Hire the next GTM people after you

You might be a fit if you've

• Done founding or early GTM, PMM, DevRel, or growth at a real product company (internships at real companies count)
• Written and shipped, not just made strategy decks
• Graduated and already held a real job. This is not a first-job seat.
• Are in San Francisco or will relocate. This is not remote.

Interview Process

1. Intro call with the founder (background, motivation, fit)
2. Deep dive on a launch or GTM motion you owned
3. Practical exercise (short sequence or launch plan for a target customer)
4. Final conversation on ownership, pace, and long-term growth

The whole process usually runs in about one to two weeks. Every stage is with a founder, so you get fast, direct feedback and a clear picture of the role. We keep the practical exercise short and paid where relevant, and we will never ask for spec work beyond a couple of hours. Expect candid conversations about what is already working in our GTM, what is broken, and exactly what you would own in the first ninety days.
