Senra Systems is seeking a dependable, professional, and security-minded Security / Front Desk Coordinator to serve as the primary frontline presence for our facility in Cypress, California.

This position combines front-desk responsibilities, access control, visitor management, security monitoring, facility rounds, and general facility support. The successful candidate will help maintain a safe, secure, welcoming, and well-organized environment for employees, guests, vendors, and visitors.

The Security / Front Desk Coordinator will monitor security cameras and access points, manage guest access and visitor logs, perform scheduled interior and exterior facility rounds, assist with employee badges and access, support events and facility activities, and assist with opening and closing procedures.

This role requires someone who is observant, professional, calm under pressure, highly dependable, and comfortable interacting with employees, executives, guests, vendors, and emergency personnel.

Essential Responsibilities

Security & Frontline Protection

  • Serve as a visible and professional frontline security presence for the facility.
  • Monitor security cameras and facility activity for unusual, unauthorized, or potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Monitor facility entrances, exits, and designated access points.
  • Conduct scheduled hourly interior and exterior security rounds.
  • Document observations, incidents, hazards, and security concerns identified during rounds.
  • Report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, safety concerns, or security incidents promptly to appropriate management.
  • Follow established procedures for emergencies, security incidents, evacuations, and other unusual situations.
  • Maintain awareness of the overall condition and activity of the facility throughout the workday.
  • Assist with coordinating emergency response and contacting appropriate emergency services when required.

Front Desk & Guest Management

  • Staff the front desk and serve as the primary point of contact for visitors and guests.
  • Greet employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, and other guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Verify and document guest access in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate visitor and guest logs.
  • Issue visitor badges and ensure badges are returned when visitors leave.
  • Contact employees or hosts to confirm and authorize guest access.
  • Assist visitors with directions, check-in procedures, and general facility access.
  • Monitor visitor activity and ensure guests remain within authorized areas.
  • Coordinate contractor and vendor access as directed.
  • Escalate unauthorized access attempts or unusual visitor activity.

Access Control & Badging

  • Assist employees with facility access and basic access-control issues.
  • Create, issue, deactivate, and maintain employee and visitor badges in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support access-control systems and report issues or failures to the appropriate personnel.
  • Help maintain accurate access-control records.
  • Ensure access to restricted areas is limited to authorized personnel.
  • Assist with employee onboarding, transfers, and terminations from an access-control perspective as directed.
  • Support temporary access requirements for contractors, visitors, and events.

Facility Rounds & Safety

  • Perform hourly rounds of interior and exterior areas of the facility.
  • Check doors, gates, access points, common areas, and other designated areas during rounds.
  • Identify and report safety hazards, damaged equipment, unsecured doors, unusual conditions, or other facility concerns.
  • Support Fire & Life Safety procedures and systems.
  • Monitor designated fire/life-safety conditions and report alarms, blocked exits, emergency equipment concerns, or other issues.
  • Ensure emergency exits and designated pathways remain accessible and unobstructed.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness activities, drills, and evacuation procedures.
  • Maintain familiarity with emergency procedures, muster locations, and facility emergency plans.

 Events & Facility Support

  • Support company events, meetings, visitors, and special activities.
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown, including tables, chairs, signage, barriers, registration areas, and other basic setup requirements.
  • Help manage guest flow and access during events.
  • Support special access requirements for executives, customers, vendors, and large groups.
  • Assist Facilities and Operations with general front-of-house and facility-support activities.

Opening & Closing Procedures

  • Assist with daily facility opening and closing procedures.
  • Perform opening and closing security checks.
  • Verify designated doors, gates, access points, and common areas are properly secured.
  • Support activation/deactivation of applicable security and facility systems in accordance with established procedures.
  • Report any unusual conditions or security concerns identified during opening or closing.
  • Ensure the front desk and security area are organized and ready for the next shift.

Documentation & Communication

  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, badge, incident, and security logs.
  • Document security incidents, unusual activity, facility concerns, and completed rounds.
  • Communicate effectively with Facilities, Operations, HR, employees, contractors, and management.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding employees, visitors, company operations, security procedures, and facility information.
  • Follow established escalation procedures for security, safety, and emergency situations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in security, front desk, access control, facilities, hospitality, customer service, or a similar role preferred.
  • Previous experience in a corporate, industrial, manufacturing, technology, or commercial facility is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful or unexpected situations.
  • Comfortable monitoring security cameras and using computer-based access-control or visitor-management systems.
  • Basic computer skills, including email, visitor management, badge systems, and electronic recordkeeping.
  • Ability to follow established security, emergency, and safety procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established procedures.
  • Must be dependable and consistently punctual.

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors as required.
  • Ability to assist with basic event setup and movement of tables, chairs, signage, and other materials.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations within the scope of the position.

The Security / Front Desk Coordinator will help ensure that visitors are properly screened and logged, employees have appropriate access, security cameras and access points are monitored, hourly rounds are completed, facility concerns are identified and reported, and opening, closing, emergency, and event-support procedures are consistently executed.

This position plays an important role in maintaining overall frontline protection and security awareness throughout the Senra Systems facility.

Compensation:  

  • Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.  
  • Hourly Range: $22.00-$25.00 
  • This is an onsite role at our headquarters in Redondo Beach, CA.
