Role Overview
Harvey is building the defining AI platform for professional services, and the caliber of our design has to match the ambition of the product. We're looking for a Design Manager to lead a team of designers and help elevate the quality, consistency, and execution of Harvey's creative work.
This is a player-coach role. You'll partner closely with Harvey's Creative Director to bring creative concepts to life, translating creative direction into exceptional design across Harvey's highest-impact work. You'll manage and mentor designers, provide thoughtful creative feedback, and remain hands-on with key projects when needed.
You'll help drive design across Harvey's creative activations—including events, brand campaigns, partnerships, and product launches—ensuring every touchpoint reflects a high standard of craft while helping the team grow and scale alongside the business.
This role reports directly to Scott Smith, VP of Creative, and sits within the Harvey Brand & Creative team. It's an opportunity to help shape one of the fastest-growing AI brands in the world while building and leading a high-performing design team.
What You'll Own
Design execution across Harvey's activations vertical, including events, brand campaigns, partnerships, product launches, and other strategic brand initiatives.
Translating creative direction into compelling visual work across multiple projects simultaneously.
Creative feedback and design quality across the team, helping raise the standard of work through thoughtful reviews and mentorship.
Management, coaching, and development of Harvey's design team, including workload planning, career growth, and performance.
Design consistency and operational excellence across a growing volume of high-impact creative work.
What You'll Do
Partner closely with Harvey's Creative Director to bring creative concepts to life through exceptional design.
Set the visual direction for projects from early concepts through final execution, ensuring work meets a high standard of craft.
Lead and develop a team of designers through regular feedback, coaching, and creative direction.
Stay hands-on with design work when appropriate, balancing management responsibilities with individual contribution.
Partner closely with Creative Operations, Copy, Motion, and Marketing to deliver cohesive, high-quality creative work.
Drive design across Harvey's flagship events, campaigns, partnership launches, product launches, and other high-visibility initiatives.
Push work beyond the brief, helping uncover creative ideas that make campaigns memorable rather than simply well executed.
Establish effective design workflows and review processes that help the team move quickly without sacrificing quality.
Foster a culture of craft, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the design team.
What You Have
8+ years of experience in brand or creative design, including experience managing or mentoring designers.
A portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft and strong conceptual thinking across campaigns, brand work, events, or product marketing.
Experience leading design for high-visibility initiatives, including launches, activations, or integrated campaigns.
Strong creative judgment and the ability to provide clear, actionable feedback that improves both the work and the people creating it.
Experience balancing multiple complex projects while maintaining a consistently high bar for quality.
Comfort moving between leadership, creative direction, and hands-on execution depending on the needs of the project.
Bonus
Experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS, AI, or enterprise technology company.
Experience designing for large-scale events or brand activations.
Experience helping build or scale a growing creative organization.
Familiarity with legal, professional services, or other complex enterprise industries.

$180,800-271,200
