Job Description
About Addi
We are a leading financial platform, building the future of payments, shopping, and banking—a world where consumers and merchants can transact effortlessly, grow together and where we create abundance and generate pride in them. Today, we serve over 2 million customers and partner with more than 20,000 merchants, making Addi Colombia’s fastest-growing marketplace.
We provide banking solutions (deposits, payments, unsecured credit) and commerce services (e-commerce, marketing) using state-of-the-art technology, bridging the financial gap for millions and redefining how people experience financial freedom. As the country’s leading Buy Now, Pay Later provider, we have secured regulatory approval to operate as a bank, unlocking even greater opportunities for our customers. In the past year, we have also achieved profitability, reinforcing the strength of our business model and our ability to scale sustainably.
Our mission has earned the trust of world-class investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Architect Capital, GIC, Goldman Sachs, Greycroft, Monashees, Notable Capital, Quona Capital, Union Square Ventures, Victory Park Capital, and more, who back our vision for the future. With their support, we are not just growing—we are transforming Latin America’s financial ecosystem and shaping the next generation to shop, pay, and bank in Colombia.
But what truly sets us apart is how we build. We are a conscious company, driven by deep experience in scaling technology, services and products, and we live by our values every day.
About the Role
This is where you come in. Below, you’ll find what this role is all about—the impact you’ll drive, the challenges you’ll tackle, and what it takes to thrive at Addi. If you’re ready to be part of something big, keep reading.
What’s the mission you’ll drive
Own strategic financial business partnering for FP&A’s internal relationships — marketplace, sales (merchant pricing and negotiation), marketing (CAC and RoI), and new products — so every pricing, renegotiation, and launch decision has finance rigor behind it and decisioning is led, not followed, by Finance. Become the finance point of contact restoring coverage to Marketplace partnering, which today runs with minimal finance involvement.
What you will do
Restore active finance coverage to Marketplace business partnering for recurring reporting/decision-support cadence live within the first 90 days.
Own and formalize the merchant business-partnering workflow (pricing/renegotiations + new merchant deals), with a documented process and target turnaround SLA — replacing today's ad hoc handling by the team.
Take full ownership of new-products financial modeling/reporting, becoming the named finance lead on every product launch reviewed by Business/Product.
Take over marketing spend and RoI business partnering end-to-end within the first quarter.
What we’re looking for
Excellent financial acumen and business-partnering toolkit
5+ years in strategic finance, FP&A, corporate strategy, or strategy consulting, with direct exposure to business partnering (not just reporting/analysis).
Experience across high-growth environments; exposure to both large companies and startups is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to operate as a finance/strategy partner: translating commercial decisions (pricing, renegotiations, launches) into P&L and unit-economics terms that drive action.
Deep command of unit economics and deal-level modeling
Strong financial modeling skills — able to build a merchant or product business case from scratch (unit economics, contribution margin, deal-level P&L).
Ability to translate commercial terms (pricing, discounts, merchant conditions) into financial impact quickly, without sacrificing rigor.
Experience in marketplace or e-commerce business partnering (two-sided network economics) is a plus.
Prior experience in fintech, lending, or banking is a plus — understanding credit/lending unit economics helps connect merchant and marketplace decisions back to Addi's core economics.
Impeccable analytical and quantitative mindset
Track record of high performance in analytically demanding environments (consulting, strategic finance, investment banking, fintech, or similarly rigorous contexts).
Comfortable operating with high autonomy and ambiguity — this role starts with live, informally-run workstreams and no dedicated support team.
High attention to detail paired with good judgment about what must be exact vs. what can be directionally correct early, given several of these workstreams have no formal process today.
Strong communication and cross-functional partnering
Communicates complex financial topics clearly and succinctly to non-finance stakeholders (commercial, marketing, product) and translates between finance rigor and commercial speed.
Builds trust and influence without formal authority — needed to restore finance's seat at the table with teams (e.g., Marketplace) used to operating without it.
Comfortable in a startup setting
Thrives in ambiguity and “organized chaos” without sacrificing rigor.
Takes on responsibility proactively, balancing speed with structured decision-making.
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets; SQL a strong plus. Fluent in Spanish and English.
