
Community Management | Event Management Internship: Society & Community Engagement Support

Your work will contribute to building inclusive and attractive communities that reflect ASML’s mission to unlock the potential of people and society.
Your Assignment
The ASML SCE department collaborates with many partners to execute our mission. We provide funding and support to these partners through the projects we execute together. Projects are executed in and around the Brainport Eindhoven area and around our locations in the US and Taiwan. Alongside these collaborations, ASML provides one-off funding for local initiatives through community support sponsoring.
For all of these projects (1) and for all the one-off sponsoring (2) correct financial controls need to be in place to make sure the funding is spent for which it was meant.
During this internship you will be supporting the project team which is responsible for improving financial processes across all our projects and sponsoring activities.
This includes amongst others, both for the projects (1) and for the one-off sponsoring activities (2):
Assessing the gaps in the current financial control processes: ‘Is the money spent in accordance with the project contract and sponsoring proposal’?;
In collaboration with program managers take action to provide the missing proof of expenses: ‘What information should we gather to know the money is spent correctly?’
Creating a framework for when and how proof of expenses can be provided throughout execution: ‘How can we improve our processes to make sure we spend the money correctly?’.
The team reports directly into the management of SCE.
This is an internship for a minimum of 4 months, for 4/5 days per week. The start date of this internship is flexible, but latest September 2026.
Your profile
As a Society and Community Engagement intern, you:
Are keen to have things organized, know how to work with excel and like to get things done;
are pursuing or have finished a bachelors or master’s degree in accountancy, finance, business or any related field;
are a self-starter and like to be challenged;
can work in both English and Dutch.
You enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Other requirements you need to meet:
You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
