Overview
As Materials Handler, you will be an integral member of Xona’s Supply Chain organization, supporting the safe and efficient movement of materials, hardware, equipment, and shipments throughout our facility.
This is a hands-on role supporting shipping and receiving and warehouse activities. You will work closely with the Logistics Lead and teams across Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, and Quality to ensure incoming and outgoing materials are safely handled, properly prepared, and moved where they are needed.
Responsibilities
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized loading dock, shipping, receiving, and material-staging areas.
Break down cardboard boxes, pallets, crates, packing materials, and other shipping waste and dispose of or recycle materials appropriately.
Receive incoming deliveries and assist with unloading trucks, couriers, freight shipments, pallets, crates, and other materials.
Pack and unpack crates, boxes, pallets, and shipping containers while protecting sensitive hardware and materials from damage.
Verify incoming shipments against packing lists and order information.
Safely operate forklifts and other powered material-handling equipment in accordance with company procedures and training requirements.
Move hardware, equipment, components, and materials between receiving, warehouse, production, cleanroom, engineering, test, and staging areas.
Assist with carrier pickups and deliveries and help ensure shipments are staged and ready according to schedule.
Support inventory organization, material put-away, cycle counts, kitting, and material issuance as needed.
Support 5S activities and continuously improve the organization and cleanliness of material-handling and logistics areas.
Follow applicable safety, ESD, FOD, quality, and material-handling requirements when working with flight hardware, electronic components, and other sensitive materials.
Provide general hands-on logistics and material handling support as priorities and production needs evolve.
Requirements
1–3 years of material handling, warehouse, shipping and receiving, manufacturing, logistics, or related experience preferred.
Forklift certification preferred; ability and willingness to obtain required certification is required.
Experience loading and unloading trucks, pallets, crates, and freight shipments.
Experience packing, unpacking, crating, palletizing, and handling equipment or manufactured goods.
Experience safely handling dangerous goods (DG) and other hazardous materials, or willingness to complete required training to obtain applicable certifications.
Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools associated with opening, building, and breaking down crates and packaging.
Experience using Microsoft Excel and/or ERP/MRP systems to maintain accurate inventory, track material movements, and support inventory reporting.
Experience working in a manufacturing, aerospace, electronics, automotive, industrial, or warehouse environment is preferred.
Familiarity with shipping and receiving documentation, packing lists, and basic inventory transactions.
Strong attention to safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow established procedures and instructions.
Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing shipping, receiving, and production needs.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with Logistics, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Engineering, and external delivery personnel.
Comfortable working in an active warehouse and manufacturing environment and performing physical tasks throughout the workday.
Able to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly perform bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting activities.
Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs unassisted and safely move heavier items using appropriate equipment or team-lifting practices.

For U.K. Roles: To comply with U.K. regulations, this role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks, and successful candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
For Canada Roles: Successful candidates must obtain and hold a security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
