About the position: This position is located at the Top of the World Club in Pituffik Space Base, Greenland. The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is US Citizens and legal US residents who are residing within the commuting area of Pituffik SB, Greenland. Legal U.S. residents must possess a social security number. This position is Regular Full Time.

Major Duties

Duties and Responsibilities Assists the Club Manager in the economic and efficient operation of the Top of the World Club. Ensures member satisfaction by resolving complaints and other issues in regards with club membership accounts and comment cards. Maintains work order and property maintenance logs in accordance with AF directives. Submits AF Form 332's and performs follow-ups weekly. Serves as the vehicle control officer for the facility, maintaining all club vehicles logs, reports, and mileage. In addition, incumbent schedules vehicle maintenance based on AF requirements. Responsible for time and attendance of Club employees using the Services Employees Time System (SETS) program. Responsible for DRAM Shop and Food Handler's Training. Prepares and submits payroll for Club employees: ensuring timecards are processed in a timely manner and that the information is accurately processed before submitting to the Peterson SFB Accounting Office. Screens calls and visitors. Prepares and safeguards receipts. Prepares daily cashier's reports, daily activity reports, and may prepare and consolidate daily activity reports. Prepares and maintains a daily financial spreadsheet for the Club Manager. Assists the Club Manager with special membership affairs, including the marketing and advertisement of these programs. For those affairs, the incumbent of this position must choose a date, establish spending budget, plan the menu selection, order decorations, schedule employees, supervise the event, and draft/submit to the Manager an after action plan with recommendations based on the success or failure of the event and the financial impact to the Club. Oversees the Bar staff and supervises the Kitchen Operations Manager. Assists, directs, and reviews the work of subordinates and evaluates their work performance. Approves and disapproves subordinates sick leave, annual leave, or any other type of absences from work. Assists the Manager with the Club's annual budget including, Bar and Kitchen operating expenses. Orders bar equipment and supplies and conducts monthly inventories. Incumbent is responsible for coordinating and approving the ordering of equipment and supplies for the kitchen with the Kitchen Operations Manager based on menu planning, budget, and events. Helps the Kitchen Operations Manager with kitchen inventory. Executes and documents machines pay outs using standardized AF software. Position is position of trust. Specialized Experience: In addition to the general experience, applicants must have specialized experience gained working in a government or civilian club, restaurant, or institutional feeding facility. The experience may include responsibility or supervision over at least one phase of club management operations. Proficiency using the Club's Employee Time System (SETS), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, ALOHA, and FoodTrak is highly desirable.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
