Job Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer – Java Full Stack, you will be expected to work as a self-driven, hands-on individual contributor with strong ownership of end-to-end design, development, validation, and delivery of product features across both backend and frontend layers. You should bring 4–6 years of experience in Java-based backend services, REST APIs, microservices, cloud-native deployments, and modern frontend development using frameworks such as React or Angular. While this is primarily an individual contributor role, mentoring remains an important expectation: you should support junior engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, implementation support, and knowledge sharing. The role also requires ensuring secure and high-quality delivery, supporting customer escalations, and driving innovation through PoCs and continuous improvements.
Job Requirement and Responsibilities
- The Senior Software Engineer – Java Full Stack will be responsible for independently owning product feature development across backend and frontend layers, including design, implementation, validation, and delivery of scalable software applications and systems.
- The candidate should be hands-on, self-driven, and technically strong enough to contribute independently while continuing to mentor engineers, review code, and guide implementation decisions where required.
- The role requires strong individual ownership, proactive problem solving, and the ability to drive assigned work to closure with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with product, QA, DevOps, and architecture stakeholders.
- Mandatory experience is required in both backend engineering using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, databases, and cloud-native patterns, as well as frontend engineering using React or Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, UI integration, and responsive web application development.
- You need to follow development processes and security processes, and will ensure the technical quality of the solution with UTs coverage and handle/identify security vulnerabilities.
- You will work on Customers escalated issues.
- You will get exposure to working on cutting-edge technologies and innovation events.
- Drive innovation by proposing, prototyping, and evaluating new technical solutions (PoCs), and contribute to continuous improvements in performance, scalability, and developer productivity.
- Contribute innovative ideas for technical improvements and processes.
- Technologies should not be a constraint for the right person; however, strong hands-on exposure to Java full stack development is mandatory. The role involves Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, React or Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, Kubernetes, and ownership of deployments and chart definitions for our applications.
Job Knowledge, Skill and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication, or a related discipline, with 4–6 years of application development experience, including strong hands-on Java full stack development across backend and frontend technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience in designing and implementing REST API based backend applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Strong exposure to frontend technologies such as React or Angular is mandatory, with the ability to collaborate on UI architecture, review frontend implementation, and ensure seamless integration with backend services.
- Core knowledge in Data Structures, OOPS, Solid design principles, and common Design Patterns is must.
- Working exposure to any cloud stack (GCP, AWS) is must.
- Leveraging AI in routine work or personal POCs will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to Cloud and Kubernetes-based applications will be an important factor.
- The ideal candidate should be technology-agnostic, adaptable, and comfortable learning and working across different languages, frameworks, and platforms as required.
- Hands-on experience with a modern cloud-friendly programming language such as Python or Node.js. will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Unit Testing and any automation (BDD) framework will be nice to have.
- Good exposure to any relational database MSSQL or MySql.
- Exposure in Micro Services architecture and Docker based application will be an added advantage.
