We are looking for a Senior developer to join the Cloud WAF R&D group, located in Rehovot. The team develops cloud-based solutions to manage and optimize the website protection orchestration. Imperva Cloud WAF (Web Application Firewall) is a key component of Imperva’s offering, providing enterprise-class protection against the most sophisticated security threats.

  Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop large-scale, scalable, distributed backend services.

• Take technical ownership of features and components from design through production.

• Solve complex performance, scalability, and reliability challenges in distributed systems.

• Influence architecture and technical direction.

• Leverage AI tools and practices to improve engineering productivity and quality. 

Requirements:

• B.SC in Computer Science or equivalent

• 7+ years of backend development experience with strong Java/Spring boot expertise

• Experience developing large-scale, distributed SaaS/cloud systems.

• Strong system design skills and experience with distributed systems

• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS) and Kubernetes – an advantage.

• Strong ownership, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

• Passion for modern engineering practices and adopting AI technologies
