Export Sales Manager
This position is hybrid model in our São Bernardo do Campo unit.
Position Summary
The Export Sales Manager manages the business portfolio and sales opportunities for export markets in Brazil and Latim America's South Cone (Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay). Responsibilities include developing commercial and financial offers, defining sales strategies for target regions/countries, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role involves collaboration with Key Account Managers (KAM), Business Development teams, and other stakeholders to drive international sales growth while adhering to Thales' ethical standards.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Promote and deliver a portfolio of solutions to meet customer needs;
- Help promote upsell or market entry opportunities with the Strategic Account Manager/Key Account Manager;
- Gather information on aspects such as risks and opportunities, marketing and sales to share in the Business Line (also with the Bid/Project teams), develop knowledge around the customer environment;
- Input orders, from pre-sales in collaboration with the Key Account Manager/CDs and Business Development teams through to the final stages of sale finalization;
- Prepare the sales strategy for a project or, more generally, the sales approach to a specific account in a target region/country, working with the Strategic Account Manager/Key Account Manager;
- Ensure customer satisfaction in collaboration with the Key Account Manager through appropriate initiatives, addressing issues and complaints on a case-by-case basis;
- Be able to successfully negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales, in line with expectations, in a complex context;
- Summarize and track export sales forecasts;
- Ensure compliance with the provisions of the Code of Ethics and the Code of Conduct within the framework of the missions assigned above;
- Promote diversity and create an environment that fosters integration;
- Propose approaches, innovative initiatives, and be able to think strategically.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, International Trade, or related field;
- Experience in business development within an international context;
- Intermediate/advanced knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce);
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations and export compliance;
- Advanced English;
- Additional languages (e.g., French, Spanish) are a plus.
