Our Team
From take-off to landing, Thales offers the most complete range of solutions to provide dynamic Air Traffic Services to support today's growing domestic and international travel requirements. Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (OneSKY) in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence.

Your role
The Thales CMATS Lifecycle Support Instructor is a member of the Civil Military Air Traffic System (CMATS) Training Team and reports directly to the Thales CMATS Training Manager.
As our CMATS Lifecycle Support Instructor you will be responsible for the user training solutions to support the uses of CMATS in a testing environment. This role will also support the CMATS Senior Lifecycle Support Instructor to analyse, design, develop and deliver training.
Design and develop engaging training programs, including course materials, learning plans, and assessments
Create and update training resources such as presentations, instructor guides, student materials, and practical exercises
Support the setup and use of training equipment and simulators to deliver effective, hands-on learning
Deliver and assist with training sessions, ensuring a high-quality and consistent learning experience
Review, test, and improve training materials and assessments to keep content accurate and effective
Provide expert advice and contribute to continuous improvement of training programs, materials, and documentation
Your experience
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or similar formal training/education qualification (desirable)
Qualified in workplace training and assessment (or similar) and have a qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Diploma of Electronics and Communications Engineering) (essential)
Prior experience in developing aviation technical training
Prior experience in configuring ATM systems and interacting with simulation datasets
Knowledge of ATM operating platform/s including data, hardware and software performance requirements and experience in trouble shooting and resolving issues
Intermediate level skills in MS Office Suite of Tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.

In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role.
