ABOUT THE ROLE

The Staff Network Integration Engineer - Core Components leads the end-to-end integration, configuration, and automated deployment of 4G EPC, 5G Core, and satellite earth station core software components across pre-production, staging, and commercial network environments. Operating within the Network Implementation organization, this role translates architectural guidelines from Network Design & Planning into production configurations, optimizes zero-touch software rollouts, manages carrier interconnects, and ensures high availability across live operational stacks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Core Integration & Configuration: Direct the installation, configuration, and E2E integration of core network software elements, including EPC, 5GC, MME, IMS, HSS, and DRA across cloud and earth station infrastructure.

• Partner Interconnects & Roaming: Deploy, configure, and validate critical signaling and roaming interfaces (S6a, S8, Diameter, SS7, IPX) to enable global MNO/MVNO partner integrations and roaming hub capabilities.

• Deployment Automation & MOPs: Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions and CI/CD pipelines to automate software rollouts, while authoring comprehensive Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and rollback mechanisms to reduce production maintenance windows to under 30 minutes.

• Lifecycle & Performance Management: Manage core software upgrades, security hardening, traffic load balancing, and capacity scaling to maintain network reliability and operational stability.

• Observability & Diagnostics: Establish element-level metrics, health alarms, and real-time observability dashboards in OSS to accelerate root-cause analysis and streamline L4 operational escalations.

• Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Network Design & Planning (NDP) on architecture handoffs, System Test (STS) on release acceptance criteria, and Network Operations (NetOps) for operational transitions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Domain Expertise: Staff-level experience (8+ years) in 3GPP 4G LTE EPC and 5G Core network architectures, parameters, and service flows.

• Signaling Mastery: Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Diameter, SS7, GTP, S6a, S8, and SIP protocol stacks.

• DevOps & Automation: Proficiency in Python/Bash scripting, Linux administration, CI/CD toolchains, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) deployment frameworks.

• Operational Execution: Demonstrated track record of writing production MOPs, managing automated deployment pipelines, and leading L4 troubleshooting in high-availability telecom environments.

The estimated base salary range for this role is $145,000 — $155,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant training.
