At Relativity Space, we’re building rockets to serve today’s needs and tomorrow’s breakthroughs. Our Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting the growing demand for launch capacity. But that’s just the start. Achieving commercial success with Terran R will unlock new opportunities to advance science, exploration, and innovation, pioneering progress that reaches beyond the known.

Joining Relativity means becoming part of something where autonomy, ownership, and impact exist at every level. Here, you're not just executing tasks; you're solving problems that haven’t been solved before, helping develop a rocket, a factory, and a business from the ground up. Whether you’re in propulsion, manufacturing, software, avionics, or a corporate function, you’ll collaborate across teams, shape decisions, and see your work come to life in record time. Relativity is a place where creativity and technical rigor go hand in hand, and your voice will help define the stories we’re writing together. Now is a unique moment in time where it’s early enough to leave your mark on the product, the process, and the culture, but far enough along that Terran R is tangible and picking up momentum. The most meaningful work of your career is waiting. Join us.

About the Team:

The Launch team operates at the intersection of every major aspect of Terran R, from stages and payloads to ground systems, launch, landing, and refurbishment. The Cape is the only place where you see it all come together, offering a level of exposure and responsibility unmatched elsewhere in the program. This is where first flights happen, where history is built on top of history, and where the scale of what's underway is unlike anything in modern aerospace. The mission stays the same, but the work evolves with every milestone: from first launch to reuse, high-cadence operations, and beyond. If you're looking to define what's next in space launch and write a new playbook, not just repeat what’s already been done, this is where it happens.

About the Role:

The Integration Technician is a hands-on technical contributor responsible for vehicle integration and pre-launch operations involving flight hardware. This role supports system-level assembly, checkout, rework, testing, and troubleshooting across structural, fluid, and avionics systems for Stage 1, Stage 2, and payload integration activities.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform mechanical and system-level assembly, integration, checkout, rework, and testing activities on flight hardware in accordance with approved drawings, procedures, and specifications.

  • Inspect and verify hardware configuration, fastener installation, torque applications, secondary retention methods, and related integration work to maintain configuration integrity and protect flight hardware.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, fluid, avionics, and other off-nominal conditions in coordination with Engineering, Launch Operations, Quality, and other technical teams.

  • Read and execute detailed engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and technical procedures while documenting work and identifying discrepancies that require additional review.

  • Operate approved material-handling and access equipment, such as forklifts and aerial work platforms, as required to safely perform vehicle integration and launch-site activities and in accordance with applicable training and authorization requirements.

  • Support vehicle readiness and Technical Operations activities, including periodic travel to assist field operations or other operational needs, and perform related technical duties necessary to maintain an efficient and effective work environment

About You:

  • 3+ years of professional experience performing aerospace mechanical work or comparable hands-on technical work in a manufacturing, production, aviation, or related environment.

  • Experience working with flight hardware, high-value hardware, or other controlled hardware while following defined production, quality, or operational procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical instructions, and manufacturing or assembly documentation.

  • Hands-on experience performing mechanical assembly activities, including fastener installation, torque applications, secondary retention methods, or comparable precision assembly processes.

  • Experience performing mechanical or system-level testing, inspection, troubleshooting, or rework.

  • Demonstrated familiarity with avionics systems or electrical/mechanical interfaces used in an integrated hardware environment.

Nice to haves but not required:

  • Experience supporting operations at a rocket launch facility, propulsion test stand, aircraft maintenance facility, or comparable aerospace environment.

  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing complex mechanical or fluid systems, including field tube routing or tube bending.

  • Experience using calibrated measurement and test equipment such as multimeters, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, depth gauges, or load cells.

  • Experience operating authorized material-handling or access equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, or aerial work platforms.

Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at our government partner location in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
