Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Senior Staff Systems Engineering to support assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) of our production space RADAR payload program.


Responsibilities include:

  • Primary technical advisor and interface between the Payload AI&T team and the Flight Software (FSW) development and FSW I&T teams
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues during AI&T, providing timely resolutions to unforeseen challenges
  • Train, mentor, and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with 14 years relevant experience, 12 years with MS, or 9 with a PhD
  • Experience planning, executing, and analyzing integration and test campaigns
  • Experience integrating embedded firmware, flight software, and hardware to realize a space system's operational capabilities and command/control interfaces
  • No clearance required to start, but must be eligible for TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering
  • Space Integration and Test (I&T) experience at subsystem, Payload, or Space Vehicle level
  • Active TS and/or SCI clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $184,100.00 - $276,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
