Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager Business Management 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Strike Division. This leadership role can be located in El Segundo, CA, Palmdale, CA, or Melbourne, FL
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems under the Strike Division, is currently seeking a Manager of Business Management 3 supporting the Production Business Area. This is a demanding role supporting diverse types of contracts in a challenging, fast-paced environment. The Business Management Manager be responsible for the integration and oversight of all Business Management efforts including business acquisition processes, compliance, funding analysis, financial analysis, and business case scenarios. The Manager is also responsible for working with the Business Area Leadership to ensure accurate, time sensitive reporting and briefing to leadership.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop proposals from draft RFP to award, including review of RFP, FAR clauses, coordination with subcontractor flow-downs, basis of estimates, indirect rates, pricing strategies, cash management, negotiation strategy and oversight, and presenting to Senior Management
Provide business oversight and oversee contract negotiation strategies for assigned business
Coordinate and lead all business management functions including contracts, pricing, proposal development, accounting, program planning & financial control, financial planning and program scheduling
Provide financial business analysis and reporting with the ability to clearly communicate with senior management as it relates to financial program status and analyses
Partner with the program leadership team to develop/manage financial goals, establish and implement capture strategies, manage NCTA and capital investments, and support EVMS implementation and analysis as required
Coordinate cost and schedule analyses and preparation of reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon cost and schedule parameters and government cost control guidelines
Manage risks with multiple contract types from both an execution and financial perspective
Basic Qualifications:
Must either have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 9 years of related Aerospace Industry experience, or a master's degree and 7 years or a PhD from an accredited university and 5 years of related Aerospace Industry experience
Prior experience in proposal preparation and BOE preparation and evaluations.
4 years’ experience in US Government contracts along with 2+ years of Leadership experience, either leading direct reports or integrated product teams
Experience with all aspects/phases of Business Management in developing and managing financial goals and overseeing monthly financial reporting
Experience developing and presenting business strategies, financial information, and risk assessments to leadership teams
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
The ability to travel 10+% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading a team, either as a lead, functional manager, or matrix manager
Experience interfacing with government audit agencies such as DCMA and DCAA
DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $137,800.00 - $239,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
