As a Registered Nurse with The Menta Education Group, you will oversee the health and well-being of students, act as a resource for health education and maintain student records and data for compliance purposes.

Responsibilities
Provide first aid care and medically prescribed services.
Obtain and review consents for medication administration in school.
Document each instance for medication administration.
Train designated staff on medication administration and documentation of medication administration
Maintain security of school health supplies.
Instruct students in health education.
Correspond with parents and medical providers on the health needs of students.
Record immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health data.
Maintain accurate related service logs updated weekly.
Coordinate and communicate with administrative staff, teachers, and other related service staff as needed or IEP directed.
Develop Individual Health Care plans for students with allergies.
Qualifications
Current/Active IL Registered Nurse License Required
Considerable knowledge of medical and mental health disorders and subsequent treatment
Considerable knowledge of child growth and development
Working knowledge of public health problems and procedures for treatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies
Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations affecting the delivery of school health services
Some knowledge of the school organization and the community served
Capacity to coordinate and facilitate services between the school, local health agency, and other community resources
